Administrative divisions of Suizhou

Sui County is located in the east-central part of Henan Province and the west of Shangqiu City. It is adjacent to Ningling County in the east, Zhecheng County and Taikang County in the south, Pixian County in the west and Minquan County in the north. The county is 4 1 km long from north to south and 33 km wide from east to west, with a total area of 924 square kilometers. The total population is 820,000 (end of 2006). It governs 8 towns, 12 townships and 545 administrative villages: Chengguan Hui Town, Pinggang Town, Changgang Town, Huzhuang Town, Xilingsi Town, Zhoutang Town, Liaodi Town and Shangtun Town; Suburban Township, Kuangcheng Township, Backstage Township, Heji Township, Bailou Township, Hedi Township, Baimiao Township, Hutang Township, Youjitun Township, Dongdian Township, Jiangang Township and Sunjuzhai Township. The county government is stationed in the Hui town of Chengguan.

In the fifth census in 2000, the total population of the county was 757,080. Among them, there are 34,733 people in Changgang town, 35,623 people in Pinggang town, 33,445 people in Zhoutang town, 43,676 people in Liaodi town, 25,296 people in Xiling town, 45,968 people in Chengguan town, 32,799 people in Zhuangchao town, 2203 1 person in backstage township and 24170 in Fanwa township. There are 36,578 people in Hedi Township, 3 1 182 people in Baimiao Township, 21kloc-0/7 people in Hutang Township, 35 1 15 people in Youjitun Township and 1/kloc-0 people in Diqiu Township. In 2005, with the adjustment of county township division: Diqiu Township was abolished, its administrative area was placed under the jurisdiction of Dongdian Township, and the resident of Dongdian Township Government remained unchanged; Revoke Fanwa Township, put its administrative area under the jurisdiction of Kuang urban and rural areas, and the resident of Kuang urban and rural government remains unchanged; Cancel Yuxiang and Xiling Town, and establish Xiling Temple Town, which governs the original administrative areas of Yuxiang and Xiling Town, and the government of Xiling Temple Town is located in Xiling Temple Village; Revoke Ruanlou Township and Huangcheng Township, and establish a new suburban township, which governs the original administrative areas of Ruanlou Township and Huangcheng Township, and the suburban township government is located in Beiguan Village, the former Huangcheng Township Government.
