Nanning Xinhuan Expressway Yongjiang's largest twin-tower cable-stayed bridge

Nanning Xinhuan Expressway Yongjiang Dachong Bridge is located near Dachongtun, Defu Village, Changtang Town, Qingxiu District. When the bridge is completed, it will cross Gui Xiang Railway and Yongjiang River. When the reporter came to the bridge site, the workers were carrying out pile foundation construction on the Yongjiang River. Five boats were rented at the construction site to transport building materials back and forth between the north and south banks.

Wang, deputy manager of the third bid section of expressway, Nanning New Ring Road, 16th Bureau of China Railway Construction, introduced that the bridge has a total length of 880m, a main span of 332m, and a total of 10 piers, among which there are two piers in the river. It is the largest cable-stayed bridge with twin towers and prestressed concrete high-low towers in Nanning. Two piers in the middle of the river support two pylons, one high and the other low. The height of the high tower is 138.3m, and the height of the low tower is 104m. After the two towers are built in the middle of the river, the builders will use the two towers as fulcrums to pour the bridges on the left and right sides one by one, and finally close them in the middle. Each cast-in-place bridge is about 8 meters long and weighs 490 tons. The whole bridge consists of bridges. Because the main span is 332 meters, it is equivalent to more than 40 cast-in-place bridges with a total weight of nearly 20,000 tons. To support such a heavy bridge, it is impossible to rely on only two piers in the middle of the river. It is also necessary to install stay cables on two towers, and one tower is equipped with 80 stay cables. These main spans will be towed by cables to ensure that the bridge can safely cross the north and south of Yongjiang River.

Wang said that the water level in this section of the Yongjiang River is now about 6 meters. It is estimated that the water level of Yongjiang River will rise after the flood season in July. This is a great test for the construction. Due to various reasons, the construction progress of the bridge has been affected, and the construction must be completed before June to make it higher than the water depth in flood season to ensure the construction safety in flood season.

According to the plan, the bridge is expected to be closed at the end of August next year. When the bridge is completed, it will become a new landscape on the Yongjiang River.
