The New Dalian Shell Museum is the largest shell museum in the world, with more than 8,000 kinds of shellfish specimens and 50,000 ancient ammonite fossils.

Among the more than 5,000 kinds of shells, there are individual collectors and buyers from more than 30 countries in four oceans, such as New Zealand, Argentina, Spain, Morocco, Malaysia, Fiji and the Philippines, as well as gifts or exchanges from Japanese, Taiwan Province and American shellfish scientists, shellfish societies and shell collectors.

Shells weigh hundreds of kilograms, and dragonflies are called cannibal shells. The light sand shell is only one millionth, which needs to be appreciated with a magnifying glass.
