Introduction of Puning Temple Scenic Spot

Puning Temple, located in Chengde City, Hebei Province, was built during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, and is a temple combining Han and Tibetan. The first half of the temple is in Chinese style, which has the characteristics of traditional Buddhist temples of the Han nationality. The whole temple is magnificent, covering an area of about 23,000 square meters. The main Buddha statue of Puning Temple is Guanyin with thousands of hands and eyes, with a height of 27.438+0 meters. Is the avalokitesvara bodhisattva of Qi Diao with thousands of hands and eyes.

The main buildings of the temple are all on the central axis, while the ancillary buildings are symmetrically arranged on both sides. The main building, Daxiong Hall, is a two-story Xieshan Hall named "Nine Ridges and Ten Dragons", surrounded by Buddha III, eighteen arhats and murals. The front and rear main buildings are built on the 1.4-meter-high stone sumeru platform. There are beautifully carved stone railings around the platform in front of the temple, assisted by the exquisite stone carving "Yunlong Stone" in the center of the steps, and there are "Guo" faucets at the four corners. There are colorful paintings such as "Golden Dragon Seal" and "Six-character True Words Seal" in the temple.

(1) Tianwang Temple

Tianwang Temple, five rooms wide and three rooms deep, is about 25m long and15m wide. It is located at the top of the mountain with only one roof. In the center of the hall sat a cloth bag monk, commonly known as Maitreya with a big belly. Its image is cordial and simple, with a big smile. On both sides are statues of the four great kings who protect the world.

(2) Ursa Major Hall

Daxiong Hall is seven rooms wide and five rooms deep, about 35 meters long and 25 meters wide. It is located on the top of the mountain, with double eaves, covered with yellow roofs and glazed tiles with green edges. A bronze gilded Lama pagoda is placed on the top of the mountain. In the center of the hall is the third Buddha statue, with eighteen arhats on both sides. The walls of the main hall are painted with colorful murals of Buddhist stories, which are exquisite and vivid. The East-West Annex Hall is five rooms wide and three rooms deep, with a single eaves resting on the top of the mountain.

(3) Mahayana Pavilion

Mahayana Pavilion is the central building of Puning Temple, with four Lama pagodas in different colors at each corner. Mahayana Pavilion is 36.75 meters high with six double eaves on the front. There is a statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva with thousands of hands and eyes in the pavilion, which is 22.28 meters high and carved from hard and anticorrosive wood such as pine, elm, fir and linden, and weighs about 1 10 ton.
