Waiting hall
Walk along the lobby on the second floor of the station building, which is the elevated waiting hall of the West Station. This hall with more than 5000 seats can accommodate 10000 people at most. The whole hall has no columns and a wide view. There is a skylight from south to north in the middle of the ceiling, through which sunlight can shine directly into the hall.
There is no separate waiting room in the lobby of Changchun West Railway Station, but the designer used seats to conceptually divide the lobby space. In addition, the West Railway Station has also planned two or three VIP waiting rooms and waiting areas for special groups such as soldiers, pregnant women and disabled people. There are more than 40 escalators and elevators in the whole station building and waiting area to provide convenience for passengers.

Changchun West Railway Station initially plans to build five platforms, 1 1 railway line, all of which are high platforms. The height of 1.25m makes the platform basically flush with the train floor, which saves a lot of effort in carrying heavy luggage and saves the trouble of taking stairs for people with inconvenient legs and feet.
The canopy without platform columns is also a highlight of this structure. The canopy covers an area of 43,098 square meters and covers a huge platform. On each platform, there are two escalators, two sets of stairs and two helicopters connected to the waiting hall. Passengers can enter the platform from the waiting hall.
