What are the interesting attractions in Phnom Penh?

Phnom Penh makes people feel mysterious. I recommend two places!

1, Tuscany Holocaust Museum

Tuslim-Museum is a museum in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It was originally S-2 1 concentration camp. From 1975 to 1979, it was regarded as a place by the Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia, so it was also called "Tolslin", which means "poisonous highland".

S-2 1 concentration camp was a "Tuol Svay Prey" high school before reconstruction. 1975, the school was transformed into a terror prison and a collective execution center, and renamed as "Safe Prison 2 1" (or S-2 1 for short). Cambodia transformed this building into a place for holding prisoners: the building was surrounded by high-voltage barbed wire, and the original classroom became a narrow torture room. All the windows were covered with iron bars and barbed wire to prevent the prisoners from escaping.

From 1975 to 1979, it is estimated that there are 14000 to 15000 people imprisoned in S-2 1 concentration camp (some people think the total number exceeds 20000). These "prisoners" come from all over Cambodia. The early captives were mainly the government, soldiers, scholars, doctors, teachers and monks during the Lang Nuo regime. The prisoners in the later period were mainly party member, soldiers and even some senior officials of the Khmer Rouge regime. Prisoners will be taken to the concentration camp for interrogation after taking photos in the concentration camp. Interrogation in concentration camps is to make prisoners admit their crimes, and they will be beaten, electrocuted, branded or hanged. After the trial, the prisoners and their families will be taken to the Joan Yike extinction center for execution.

1979, the concentration camp was exposed in the attack of the Vietnamese army. 1980, the concentration camp was reopened to the public as a "Khmer Rouge University-Museum", with an average of about 500 visitors every day. In 2009, the museum was listed in the Memory of the World List by UNESCO.

2. Lake Wangu

Wangu Lake is to Phnom Penh what West Lake is to Hangzhou. It keeps a subtle distance from the noise of the city. It is neither polluted by the impetuousness of the city nor an isolated paradise. Whether for locals or tourists, it is a good medicine to sit by the lake and watch the sunrise and sunset. There are many hotels facing the lake on the east bank of Wangu Lake. Although the price is more expensive, if the funds are not too tight, it is recommended to stay-at least have a meal and a cup of freshly squeezed juice in the lakeside restaurant. This is a rare leisure time for a trip to Cambodia. Eating, drinking, lodging, shopping and lodging recommendation: There are many hotels with good environment around Wangu Lake. Their hotel stands on the water with wooden stakes, just like Ko Pha-Ngan (Pagan Island) in Thailand. Floating Island: 5-65438 USD +00/ room. There is a room facing the lake view upstairs, where you can easily enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. The terrace here is the most ventilated in the city, and there is a double-decker bar where you can enjoy the sunset while drinking. Simon II Guest House: 10- 15 USD/room. The whole villa is like a huge wedding cake, and the rooms here are the most fashionable in the whole Wangu Lake, including-and hot water shower.
