What local restaurants do you recommend in Shanghai?
This dish is sweet, oily and red in sauce, and it is a substitute for southern dishes. In fact, there are many restaurants in Shanghai, and the level is generally quite high. First of all, I would like to recommend some word-of-mouth restaurants that I have been to personally. If there is not enough time, go to a place where there are many people in line. Shanghainese are always the best ~
Lvbo gallery
Lvbo Gallery should be the favorite local restaurant of the older generation of Shanghainese, and it is also a five-star restaurant in Shanghai. It once hosted President Clinton of the United States, and the Secretary of State was absolutely famous.
The snacks in the Green Gallery are famous for their good quality, such as jujube paste crisp, eyebrow hair crisp and Osmanthus Jelly. Classic Shanghai dishes such as Caotouquan, You Xiang Eel Lake, Shrimp fried eel and Fried Shrimp can also reach a high standard. Osmanthus Jelly, as a famous point in his family, insisted on chopsticks, pots and teeth. It is said to be Clinton's favorite, because it is not so sweet.
Crystal shrimp is a' signature', shrimp meat is' elastic' and tastes' fresh'; Bazhen duck is rich in content, salty and sweet. Although the price near the Chenghuang Temple is a bit expensive, I think it is still worth it. I want to eat the delicious food of Chenghuang Temple. I think I can try it!

Shanghai Classical Hotel
A restaurant that dares to be named after a city must be neither simple nor famous. The old restaurants in Shanghai are mainly local dishes, and they are all original and authentic. Each dish fully shows the thick oil and red sauce. If you are a foreigner (like me), you may be a little unaccustomed. This golden duck is too big for four people to eat. There are shrimp, ginkgo and ham in it. It is delicious. Braised eel is a rice killer, and other friends in Shanghai, such as shredded eel, fried shrimp, shrimps and big black ginseng, are full of praise.
In addition, there are other specialties, such as milk carrion, sweet and sour mandarin fish, fried crab powder, eight-treasure soup hot sauce, grass head ring, sesame oil eel paste, crystal shrimp, crab bean curd, delicious shredded pork and so on. You can feel that almost all dishes are seasoned by name alone. The word "authentic", this family did it.

Haijinzi
The first two restaurants are famous restaurants. If you want to find some simple restaurants, Haijin can go. The style of the fly house is not big, and the hotel is not big. The two small buildings with less than ten tables in total don't look very clean and exquisite, but they are selected into the Michelin guide, which shows that the taste is absolutely unique.
The food here, in the words of friends in Shanghai, is' homely'. Since it is authentic Shanghai food, it is certain that it tastes heavy, but it is not unacceptable in my imagination. It's really sweet. The meat is fresh, the quantity is sufficient, the salt is moderate, and the rice is soft and waxy, just right.
The specialty is roasted shallots. Onions are thick and delicious, but the meat is still tender! Because it is oily, I usually like light collocation, such as fermented bean curd, water spinach and herbs, which are all delicious.

Lanting
I have to say that the master is in the folk, and the really delicious things are really not in the environment. Lanting must be ugly and narrow in appearance. It has six small square tables, but it is always in line. Everyone in Shanghai knows that you don't have to wait in line to eat Lanting.
The last time I went to eat, it was rainy. Few people were lucky and the food was served quickly. Every table must order chicken bone sauce. Chicken with bones cut into small pieces is a bit like ribs with sauce. Sweet and delicious, it is a special meal. Salt and pepper strips, fresh and tender, dipped in white pepper, full of homesickness. South milk spinach is fresh and delicious, which is rare. For Shanghainese, this is a particularly homely taste, and the key is that the price is also very conscience.
It can be said that this is a shop that won't let you down as long as you get an A.
Yongxing
Compared with the previous famous shops, this one is mentioned less frequently, but because the storefront is also small, there are only six tables, so it is often necessary to wait for the same position. Yongxing hid in the middle of an alley on Fuxing Road. Even if you know the address, it is easy to go too far.
This special dish is called duck egg yellow roll. Sliced salted duck with egg yolk. Very unusual cold dish, very distinctive, but I don't think it is amazing enough. In addition, you can try shredded leeks and yellow potatoes. Stir-fry potatoes, and then stir-fry them together. It tastes interesting and fragrant, but it feels like a snack.
There are other salt and pepper strips, dried pomfret and so on, all of which are local traditional dishes, but they are not as delicious as the first course. Generally speaking, I think it is better than innovation.

Xinyuan private cuisine
The dishes cooked by Xinyuan private kitchen are very authentic. Carved chicken, sweet and sour pork chop, fried shrimp, etc. Many old Shanghai diners often eat. Although the waiters are all aunts of some ages, they are all very enthusiastic and feel like some state-owned old shops.
The overall taste of the dish is sweet, especially the eight-treasure duck, which needs to be booked in advance and limited supply! Moreover, the price of more than 200 yuan is relatively high, but it is also real. The whole duck is crispy and delicious, and the eight treasures are embedded in it. This dish is really not available everywhere.
This kind of smoked fish is very novel, at least I haven't seen it. Similar to smoked fish, but not made of herring. It's made of opium fish head. It's just that this grade is a little higher, and it tastes delicious with my favorite dried onion.
