Huilan Pavilion is located in the seashore of Shinan District of Qingdao, facing Little Qingdao across the sea, and its northern end is connected with Zhongshan Road in a straight line. It is considered as an important symbol of Qingdao. This pavilion is an octagonal pavilion on the second floor. The pavilion is covered with colored glazed tiles and supported by 24 red pillars. There is a spiral staircase in the center of the exhibition hall and glass windows around the upstairs. As the saying goes, "one window and one scene, one scene and one painting". We can look out from the window and see the beautiful Qingdao Bay and the surrounding scenic spots and famous buildings in all directions.
Construction started in September. 193 1. There is a semi-circular breakwater at the southern end of the bridge, and a double-deck cornice octagonal pavilion with Chinese traditional style is built on the breakwater, which is called "Huilan Pavilion". The pavilion is covered with yellow glazed tiles and surrounded by 24 circular pavilion columns. The pavilion is a two-story spherical hall with 34 spiral steps in the middle, which can swing all the way to the second floor. 1April, 933, the project was completely completed.
These three words on the tablet of Gefei Huilan Pavilion were originally inscribed by Shen Honglie, the former mayor of Qingdao. This plaque was plundered to Japan during the second Japanese occupation of Qingdao. After the founding of New China, many people went to Japan to look for this plaque, but they didn't find it. At present, the word "Huilan Pavilion" is inscribed by the famous calligrapher Shu Tong.
1936, among the "Ten Scenes of Qingdao" selected by the municipal government together with experts and citizens, "Flying Pavilion with trestle as the main scene" became the first scene. 1992 65438+ 10/0/6, which was announced by Qingdao Municipal People's Government as a municipal key cultural relics protection unit.
Zhongshan Road
The road in a straight line with the north and south of the trestle is Zhongshan Road, an old commercial street in Qingdao with a history of 100 years. After Germany occupied Qingdao, in order to build a deep-water wharf in Houhai, a road connecting north and south was opened at 1899, which is the prototype of Zhongshan Road. South of Dexian Road is a German-style residential area named "Fedelli Street", and north of Dexian Road is a Chinese-style residential area named Mada Road. 1922. The two roads merged and were named Shandong Road. 1929, renamed Zhongshan Road in memory of Dr. Sun Yat-sen. At present, Zhongshan Road is also one of the most prosperous places in the old city. In this way, the trestle becomes the transition between the sea and the market. It connects the ocean and the land closely. The tallest building on Zhongshan Road is Parkson Commercial Building, which opened in September. 1998. It is one of the first batch of 18 joint venture retail enterprises approved by the State Council. It is jointly built by Qingdao No.1 Department Store and Malaysia Golden Lion Group, with a total investment of 780 million yuan, 5 floors underground and 49 floors above ground, with a building area of10.2 million square meters and a shopping mall area of 50,000 square meters. Xiao Qingdao
The island opposite Huilan Pavilion is Little Qingdao. Little Qingdao is located in Qingdao Bay on the north side of the estuary of Jiaozhou Bay, with beautiful scenery. The original name of this island is Qingdao. This island is named Qingdao because of its lush trees all the year round, and the opposite is Huangdao. Qingdao was built in 1929, which was also named after the island at that time. It is 720 meters away from the coast, with an altitude of only 17.2 meters and an area of only 0.0 12 square kilometers.
In the 16th year of Qing Qianlong (175 1 year), Wei Zhi of Lingshan recorded that "Little Qingdao is on the other side of Huaizikou, which is the only way for those who enter the sea". Every summer, the sea breeze blows gently, the trees are lush, and it has the reputation of "Qingang Cuidi". The sculpture of "Qin Nv" on the island is also one of the symbols of Qingdao.
When Germany occupied Qingdao, it named Little Qingdao "Akna Island". 19 14 After Japan replaced Germany to occupy Qingdao, the island was changed to "Kato Island". After Qingdao's return to China, Jiaoao Governor's Office named it Little Qingdao, and opened it as "Little Qingdao Park" in the early 1930s. After Japan invaded Qingdao for the second time, it became a Japanese military station and has been used as an army ever since. 1942 built a dam with a length of 377 meters and a width of 8 meters, which was connected with the land and became an island connected with the land.
There is a white lighthouse at the top of Little Qingdao, which was built by Germans at 1900. It is a key protected cultural relic in Qingdao, with a height of15.5m and an octagonal shape. The sand is fine and soft, especially suitable for playing on the beach. The sixth bathing beach is not far from Little Qingdao. Every night, the beacon lights on Qindao and the waves in the bathing beach complement each other, forming a charming night scene.
Customs building

Although Qingdao Customs is named after Qingdao, it is the general administrative organ for entry-exit supervision at Shandong Port, and has jurisdiction over more than ten customs offices in northern China, including Jinan, Zibo, Weifang, Yantai and Weihai.
Sea palace

To the east of the trestle and along the northern edge of Taiping Road, there is a trestle hotel, which was originally a hotel department attached to Qingdao Hotel in Germany. Designed by German architect paul friedrich, it is a typical German classical building. The main building of Yuande Hotel was demolished on 1993.
During the German occupation of Qingdao, Prince Heinrich, the younger brother of German Emperor William II, visited Qingdao many times and stayed in It' Hotel, so it was commonly known as "The Prince Henry Hotel" or "Prince Henry Hotel" at that time. At that time, German Prince mecklenburg and Qing Dynasty Postal Minister Sheng Xuanhuai also lived here. 1922 In August, Sun Yat-sen went to Beijing to meet Yuan Shikai.
