What is the purpose of wlan direct connection on Huawei mobile phones?

WLAN direct connection is used to support fast data transmission between Huawei devices. This feature is similar to Bluetooth transmission, but the transmission speed is faster and more suitable for transmitting large files at close range.

1. The steps to enable WLAN direct connection are as follows:

1. Open "Settings".

2. Click "WLAN", turn on the "WLAN" switch, and then click "WLAN Direct".

3. When another device is detected, click the device name, and then follow the on-screen prompts to establish a "WLAN direct connection" between the two devices.

Note: To disconnect the "WLAN Direct" function of two devices, please click to enter the "WLAN Direct" interface, click on the name of the device to be disconnected, and click "OK".

2. Send and receive files via Wi-Fi direct connection:

Note: Please ensure that the Wi-Fi direct connection function of both devices is turned on.

1. Open "File Management" and long press to select the file you want to send.

2. Click "Menu (or More)" > "Share" > "WLAN Direct". When another device is detected, tap the device name.

3. On the receiving device, a prompt box will pop up after receiving the file. Click "Accept" to complete the transfer.

Note: Open the notification panel to view the file transfer progress; the received files are stored in the "WLAN Direct" folder of the file management by default.
