Why is China forbidden to go to Romania?

There is no ban. As of March 7, 2024, according to the China Consular Service Network, China citizens with diplomatic passports can stay in Romania for no more than 90 days without a visa every 180 days.

China citizens with official passports are not required to stay in Romania for more than 30 days.

Persons holding passports from China, Hongkong or Macao Special Administrative Region who come to Romania for sightseeing, visiting relatives or engaging in business activities and stay in Romania for no more than 90 days may be exempted from visas.

Ordinary official passports and holders of ordinary passports need to apply for Romanian visas in advance. So China is not forbidden to go to Romania.

When entering or leaving Romania, you need to bring valid passports, visas, air tickets and materials related to the purpose of entry, such as invitations, admission notices, hotel orders, medical insurance, proof of funds, addresses and contact information of contacts in Romania, etc. Do not put them in checked baggage for inspection by Romanian port officials.
