How much is Airbnb's cancellation insurance?

According to the cancellation policy of the reserved house, eligible cancellation insurance will be automatically pushed, and you can choose to buy it yourself.

Airbnb and PICC China People's Insurance Co., Ltd. jointly launched the order cancellation insurance. After the tenant cancels the order, the non-refundable balance of the platform will be compensated by the insurance company according to a certain proportion. After the house order is confirmed, the tenant can choose to buy it himself. The refund will be fully underwritten by PICC China People's Insurance Company, and will be responsible for the claim settlement.

How to buy order cancellation insurance

1. After the order is confirmed, go to the housing order center and find the corresponding order.

2. On the order details page, find the entrance to cancel insurance purchase, and click Insure Now.

3. Jump to the third-party insurance company page and complete the payment according to the system prompt.

Insurance can be carried out within 30 minutes after the order is confirmed, and it will be invalid after the expiration. The validity period of the refund policy is noon 12:00 on the day when the tenant moves in, and it will be invalid after the expiration.

You can't buy cancellation insurance for the house you stay in on the day of booking. Cancel the order after noon 12: 00 on the day of check-in, and the insurance will not pay.

If you agree to the landlord's application, the policy may be invalid after the order change is successful, and you need to contact the insurance company to apply for policy correction.

The maximum amount of compensation for each order is 5000 yuan, and the total amount of compensation and other refunds shall not exceed the actual expenses paid for the order.
