Badagong Mountain Nature Reserve is 85 kilometers away from Sangzhi County, standing at the northern end of Wuling Mountain and the source of Lishui River. Its main peak, Jiaoshan, is the top of Wuling Mountain, with an altitude of 1, 890 meters. The scenic spot consists of five forest areas, namely Jiaoshan, Cunninghamia lanceolata and Tianpingshan, with a total area of 44,900 hectares.
