About the inn in Xitang

There are many inns over there. If you want a city-level hotel, the inns in Xitang are quite different from those star-rated hotels.

The town of Xitang is almost entirely lined with inns. There are many places to eat and stay, each with a different style. It is recommended that you choose where to stay after visiting.

I just came back from Xitang, and I feel it is much better than Wuzhen, with a very watery atmosphere.

When I went there, I made a reservation at the inn in advance. When I arrived, I called the boss and he came out to pick him up. I entered through the back door of the boss’s house, so I escaped with the entrance ticket. Only then did I discover that many of the surrounding paths lead to Xitang, and many local people walked that way.

If you want to avoid the ticket, you can also make a good deal with the local people and let them bring you in. You negotiate the price with them, and then you can find a place to live by yourself.

There are many inns there with different environments. Since I don’t know what style you like, it’s best to see them with your own eyes before booking. When we went there, we stayed at Jingyixuan. Because we had booked it in advance, the boss saved us the entrance fee and brought us in, so we stayed there without choosing. I felt that the conditions were not very good.

There are many rooms facing the water, which look very atmospheric and interesting. You don’t need to book in advance for accommodation at this time. The price is mostly around 120, so you can bargain with the boss moderately. They usually have TVs, air conditioners, and basically private bathrooms, but they are basically all solar powered, so if it’s cloudy, you won’t be able to take a hot bath.

Also, mosquitoes are rampant there during this season, so be careful to prevent mosquito bites.

There is that kind of antique inn. I was not very comfortable staying in it. I suggest you check it out for yourself after entering and choose the one that suits you.

Xitang is very emotional and interesting at night, a town with a water town atmosphere. You can put water lanterns and Kongming lanterns at night. You can go out for a stroll at night and buy some unique souvenirs. You can also row a boat. It feels good to sit by the river and eat and drink tea.

Every house hangs red lanterns at night, which is very charming and worth a visit.
