At night, sulfur burns to form a whole blue flame, which is beautiful. There is a blue-green volcanic lake about kilometers wide in the crater, which is the largest acidic lake in the world. It can also emit blue flames.

Sulfur-bearing gas emitted from the volcano condenses to form sulfur ore. Miners risk working without protection, transporting 60-90 kilograms of ore at a time. In a working day, miners can only earn 40 yuan RMB. Generations of miners make a living from this, and they are overworked in toxic gas environment for a long time, which makes miners often get sick and injured in their prime, and their average life expectancy is much shorter than that of ordinary people.
