Xiangyun Shui Mu Mountain is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Shui Mu Mountain, 25 kilometers away from Xiangyun County. It belongs to Majie Township, with an altitude of 2070 meters.

Mount Shui Mu is one of the earliest Buddhist shrines in Yunnan. In the eighth year of Yuanhe in Tang Xianzong (8 13), Minister Nanzhao requested to build this temple. Zen master Puji Guangqing chiseled the ground with a Zen stick. "A clear spring gushed out because of the name of water." On the opening day, the leaders of the six imperial edicts came to congratulate. When the incense was at its peak, it was called "a thousand monks and eight hundred nuns". Monks lived in Shui Mu Mountain in all previous dynasties, such as the founder of the Tang Dynasty, Zen master Puji Guangqing, Zen master Jingmiaocheng in the Song Dynasty, and invincible Zen master in the late Qing Dynasty. Many members of the royal family became monks here when they were running the country. A famous monk lived here for a long time in the early Qing Dynasty. Since the Tang Dynasty, Shui Mu Mountain Temple has been renovated many times and gradually formed an architectural community, including Shui Mu, Xianchong, Dizang Temple, Lingguang Temple, Tayuan, Sanjiao Pavilion, Piluge Temple and Mituo Temple. Shui Mu Mountain Temple is divided into upper, middle and lower temples. Only the Xiadian was left, which was rebuilt in the second year of Xuantong in Qing Dynasty (19 10), from 1984 to 1987. Cheyenne is the mountain gate, the tower courtyard, the front yard, the northwest annex hall, and the Daxiong Hall in turn, with a monk's room, a fragrant pavilion, a ministerial hall, a fasting hall, a tea room and a cloud hall on both sides. In front of An Xia, there are dozens of acres of pear trees, which were carefully cultivated by monks in previous dynasties.

There are two roses and four conifers, both of which were planted in the Tang Dynasty. There are bronze bells and wooden drums made during Chenghua period in Ming Dynasty in Daxiong Hall. There are more than 10 monuments inside and outside the temple. Next to Shang 'an and Zhong 'an ruins, there is a camellia planted in the Tang Dynasty. The flower height of black tea in Shang 'an is12.6m, and the DBH is 0.42m.. Baishan tea in Zhong 'an is 7.5 meters high and DBH is 0.38 meters high. The flowers of these two kinds of camellias are nine-pistil and eighteen-petal, which belong to the second-class protected plants in the country.

Shui Mu Temple Tower was built in the Dali period and rebuilt in the thirty-fourth year of the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty (1606). This tower was once the famous "Temple Holding Tower" in Yunnan. Around the tower, there is an octagonal annular temple, which surrounds the tower and the spire extends from the top of the temple, which is very unique. Now the tower hall has been destroyed, leaving only 48 pillar piers on the tower foundation. Shui Mu Temple Tower is18.16m high and square, and it is a solid brick tower with 15 dense eaves. Starting from the seventh level, the tower gradually contracted upwards. The tower gate consists of a gourd supported by a copper drum lotus. There is a closed tower door on the east side of the first stage of the tower, and there are 23 colorful Buddhist paintings on the south wall. The tower was built in Jiading for seven years, that is, the decade of Dali (12 14).

There is a Tallinn, also known as the monk's grave, in the north of Shui Mu Mountain. Tallinn is divided into northwest area and northeast area. Tallinn is arranged in steps, with 6 1 tomb towers. It is a place of silence for monks in Shui Mu Temple, which is rare in China in terms of quantity and scale. The tomb tower is 3 to 6 meters high, and the tower body is spindle-shaped or square. Spindle is a brick tower built in Dali. There are two kinds of square towers: brick towers and stone towers, which were built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Tower foundations are divided into square and hexagonal. There are moire patterns, lotus patterns, figures and animal relief patterns on the base and tray bricks. Tasha has the shape of a wheel, a moon and a ball. There are stone steps outside the tower foundation leading to the tower, and there are tombs in the tower for placing pottery urns. On the surface of the jar, the Buddhist language and the name and dharma number of the dead monk are written with cinnabar.

There are legends in Shui Mu Mountain, such as "cycads blossom, trees rise from dry wells, immortals in wind tunnels, wooden dogs guarding fields". The flowering of Cycas means that the Cycas in the temple suddenly opened. Taking wood from a dry well is the dry well behind Anxia. It is said that there was not enough wood when the temple was built. Zen master Puji Guangqing borrowed wood from a distance and took it out of the dry well. Visiting immortals in the wind tunnel refers to a Buddhist monk who often drills into caves and plays outside the mountains. It is a legend that a wooden dog guards the fields. A monk made a wooden dog to guard the fields in the grange. This wooden dog can move like a real dog.
