Intensive reading of the picture book "Be careful of wolves"
I read the book "Beware of Wolves" with my baby these days, and found that when I read it for the first time, my child changed a lot. I already know how to ask questions, which enhances my ability to capture details. In fact, a book clearly verified the progress of my child's way of thinking. So I thought of doing intensive reading and sharing of this book. This reverse thinking and thought-provoking children's book also hopes that more people can see it and take their children to experience different stories about wolves.

Beware of Big Big Wolf translated by the famous writer Peng Yi is a book selected by the National School Library Association of Japan. It breaks the classics and traditions, subverts the terrible image of the wolf in three classic stories that children are familiar with, fuses these three stories together, and reinterprets an interesting and funny story from the perspective of the wolf.
The wolf stared at the children's book with two books under his arm, completely silent in the story of the picture book, completely ignoring the existence of small animals and little red riding hood around him. What do we have? Careful baby will find that there are four lambs' hooves in the bushes. They hid quietly in the bushes, and every hero who could show his face was smiling. Are they all playing hide-and-seek with wolves? This relationship breaks the saying that we once realized that the wolf is a big bad wolf. The two squirrels on the branch and the bird on the right branch witnessed the development of the story. They followed the wolf together. We can have a good look at this book.
We have mentioned many times before that reading children's books should be comprehensive and meticulous. From the cover to the back cover, it runs through the whole story. When you miss a link, it will affect the comprehensive understanding of children's books, and it is also the greatest inspiration brought to us by intensive reading of children's books.
Open the title page of the story, three short stories are serialized, wolf and seven lambs, little red riding hood and three little pigs. This is the story about wolves that we once understood. The main thread running through this story is that the wolf wants to eat small animals and little red riding hood, but in the end he fails, and justice triumphs over evil. When a child reads such a story, he will immediately think that the wolf is a big bad wolf. Haha, let's enter this children's book together and see how the wolf spent the day. This narrative style is very similar to the circular lining of Virginia Liberton's masterpiece Little House. The circular lining of the hut indicates the change of the times. The ring lining of the book "Wolf Be Careful" paved the way for the psychological activities of wolves later.
The back page, which I ignored when I first read it, is usually the title page behind the ring lining, but this book designed this page. When I saw the little bear on the bed in the title page, I suddenly realized that the little gray wolf on this page was our hero's childhood. Grandma wolf told the little wolf a masterpiece by the fireplace and told him to be careful. When he grows up, the wolf still does things according to the content described in the picture book. In fact, we can introduce the word "innovation" to the baby. 3-6-year-old Bao Xiao, with their increasing knowledge reserves, began to be willing to think and explore the essence of superficial phenomena. Maybe they can't fully understand the truth, but richer vocabulary can also increase their logical thinking ability.
When the story reached the title page, our story began. The wolf packed up his house and was ready to go. It's hungry. It needs to find something to eat. Interlocking bedding, just as the wolf closed the door, grandma's voice came from behind. "The wolf should be careful." The wolf set off with a uneasy heart and set off according to the picture book model. Will he succeed?
Let me talk about how to read this book first. When reading this book, you will find two colors of words, one is black and the other is brown. Black characters tell the story content, the wolf's constant inner changes and actions. And brown is the description of this fragment in three picture books handed down from generation to generation. And this hue is also consistent with the color of the front ring lining of the book. For the younger baby, tell the children the contents of three picture books when telling about the ring lining, and only tell the black font in the narrative of "Be careful of wolves". Two different switches can easily confuse children. For an older baby, you can make a clear contrast between what he expects to happen and the actual situation, so that he can realize that the things described in the book will change, and you can also discuss the reasons and results of this difference in depth.
The wolf went out with a picture book and met the same one again and again. The wolf failed again and again. In Beware of Wolves, the author uses different perspectives to make the picture vivid and colorful. Then let's follow the author's eyes to capture the inner changes of wolves.
Looking up: The wolf excitedly came to the home of seven lambs, holding a picture book in his left hand and chalk in his right hand. (It seems that all the props are ready. ) The wolf lifted his feet to the small slope and got a panoramic view of the small house. You can think about its current mood. "Here, here! This is the home of the lamb. " The wolf reminded himself after reading the book, "Be careful, don't expose yourself as a wolf."
Head-up angle: the wolf came to the lamb's house and looked at the lamb in the house through the window probe. Be sure to count clearly and don't leave one behind. A right angle gives a panoramic view of the lamb in the house. Then we can count how many lambs there are with the baby and find that each lamb is carrying a pair of scissors. Talk to the baby about children's songs. You can hear the lambs clicking and waving scissors. A lamb with a red dot and a white coat in the room is reading a picture book of seven lambs. The lamb in a green coat is playing the game of cutting open the wolf's belly to save the lamb, and the rest of the lambs are playing hide and seek. The wolf outside the house was frightened. After reading it carefully, I found that Lamb's family also has a Big Ben, and the author described the time of Big Ben with great care.
Overlooking angle: The wolf meets Little Red Riding Hood and politely goes to talk to Little Red Riding Hood. Birds and squirrels in the tree watched the development of things nervously, quietly watching the unexpected encounter between Little Red Riding Hood and Big Wolf. The wolf thought, "This time it's exactly the same as in the picture book." Will the wolf succeed?
Close shot and prospect: This method is used many times in the book. I chose this photo of three brothers in the pig family. Brother pig happily pulled the cart, picked firewood and water to go home, which was consistent with the picture of meeting mother sheep in front. Their laughter and enthusiastic labor are in sharp contrast with the lonely figure of wolves in the distant Woods. The sound beyond the words in the painting. Did you hear grandma wolf again? "The wolf should be careful."
The wolf finally got home safely, but he couldn't eat anything. He just hugged the bear and fell asleep hungry. I asked Pingping, what did the wolf eat? She looked around and found that there were still some apple cores left on the plate on the table. She said categorically that it was an apple. Children are really experts at reading pictures. Then I want to ask, look at you, where did the wolf get the apple? Haha, yes!
The fun of picture books is realized in the process of looking for them. It can inspire us, make us think and bring us fun. Why do many mothers fall in love with picture books after contacting them? Some people say that picture books are for children. When my children grow up, they only read books in plain text. Of course, I don't object to this statement, but picture books use simple words and rich pictures to let children realize the author's in-depth understanding of the story, and there are stories inside and outside the picture.
Have you finished writing the story? Not yet. The wolf on the back cover set off happily with a book. There is a child sitting among a flock of sheep. When I first read the back cover, I filtered it in a hurry. The second time, I wondered if this was the scene where the wolf appeared in his dream. Or what happened the next day? When I opened the picture book again, the wolf fell asleep in bed. There are three picture books on the desk. What book is the wolf holding? At this point in the story, I think everyone understands. Can wolves succeed? Let the children help us to continue the story. From the cover to the back cover, I really admire the author's original design, so that this children's book can enlighten us and bring us visual enjoyment.
