Chuanmei, Graffiti and Communication Teahouse
Get off at Huangjueping Station, and you will be confronted with graffiti paintings all over the building. I can't help but be taken aback, because this graffiti is no longer a work that can be completed by standing on the ground on the wall at the bottom of the building in the usual sense. They are on the wall, on every inch of the wall of that tall building. And those painted colors are not only catharsis, but also design, arrangement and rhythm, which are more like the result of careful planning but deliberately free and easy.
It is believed that to complete these spraying, it is necessary to set up high scaffolding, get the consent of residents in the building and even get the approval of government departments, so this is not something that students can do spontaneously, but must be an organized behavior from the school. Whatever the motivation at that time, the result of this behavior was to bring chaos and wild charm to this neighborhood.
Chuanmei's gate is in the street. Very ordinary, so ordinary that there is no gate structure. Just two railings simply blocked the driveway into the campus, plus a gray stone tablet lying on the side of the road with the words "sichuan fine arts institute". I don't have any research on aesthetics, but I also know that minimalism needs a lot of colors and textures in addition to "reduction, reduction and reduction" in order to achieve the effect of getting twice the result with half the effort and simplicity. Looking at the door of Sichuan beauty seems to have nothing to do with minimalism, but more like the result of insufficient funds and simple work.
"It's too simple. How can it be artistic? "
"Maybe people are frustrated and have a golden land!"
In Chuanmei's campus, tall trees on both sides of the road stretch out long curved arms, forming a green archway on it, which is particularly green and thick in rainy days. We walked around the campus in a decadent drizzle without an umbrella. We found a place to hide when it rained heavily. When the rain stops, just keep walking.
Unlike off-campus graffiti and painting are everywhere, the campus is much fresher. Some sculptures are scattered around the campus. They don't look classic and serious, but they are full of fun:
Two blue sculptures bigger than real people, a man and a woman, are sitting in the air. Yes, sitting in the air, there is no chair under your ass. The two men held their arms flat and looked up at something. The elbows at the flat ends of the two people touch each other to form an arm bridge. On the arm bridge stood two yellow figures, only the size of a blue sculpture face, holding hands and looking at each other. The little boy stood on the elbow of the woman in blue, and the little girl stood on the elbow of the man in blue.
The most admirable thing is a crying baby. This is a golden baby head sculpture the size of a small water tank. The baby closed his eyes, grinned and cried, and his face was full of pain and resentment. This pain and resentment comes from the five little hands on his face. These hands, either beaten or pinched, or touched or twisted, are very similar to the way adults tease infants. An unsuspecting baby can only make the strongest protest and struggle by crying.
The most puzzling group of sculptures are two people, a man and a woman. Men are in the front and women are in the back. Both of them leaned forward slightly and their legs bent slightly. Land your right foot and lift your left foot backwards. They push forward with their left hands, like playing the palm of their hands; At the same time, the right hand swings backwards. Among them, the man still holds a book in his right hand. Is this two of a kind, forgetting the time and rushing to class? In the laughter of hee hee, we also played a Tathagata palm.
Although you can also see sporadic graffiti, the colors and smears of the Academy of Fine Arts seem to be mostly concentrated on a small road. The path is not wide, and there are barely two lanes. On both sides of the road are vertical rows of old-fashioned peaked bungalows, much like old-fashioned classrooms. Several small shops of cultural and creative nature are deserted and few tourists go in. However, the walls, gates and even a small amount of metal structures of these bungalows are not wasted-they are covered with all kinds of lines, colors and patterns. The contents of some patterns are so old that these pictures from the 1960s and 1970s make people confused whether they were originally left behind or imitated later. At the end of the path is the famous Soviet tank, which has a dull metallic luster in the light rain.
Like other university campuses, Chuanmei's campus is quiet and beautiful, but with more unruly and disrespectful, there are more places to see. If you want to find a place on campus that forgets that this is the Academy of Fine Arts, it is Chuanmei's canteen. It's an ordinary place, and you can't see any artistic atmosphere. The only advantage is that the price is very cheap. There are many dishes in 5 yuan, 3 yuan, and foreigners can eat them at will, just pay by mobile phone.
Huangjueping also has an online celebrity scenic spot "Flow Teahouse", which has a great relationship with Chuanmei. Communications Teahouse is the only teahouse in Chongqing that maintains the style of 1970s and 1980s. The old wooden frame structure, gray cement floor, mottled unpainted walls, dazzling incandescent bulbs and yellow paintings hanging on the walls all reveal a unique sense of time. This used to be the place where the older generation of Huangjueping people spent their time, just like the old teahouse in Chengdu and the morning tea shop in Guangzhou.
Traffic Teahouse first appeared in front of people all over the country because of the movie Crazy Stone. However, it may be that there was no national tourism craze at that time, it may be that there was no commercial sensitivity at that time, or it may be that there was no crazy hype on the Internet at that time. In short, the traffic teahouse did not shine because of it. Traffic Teahouse has really become a bright spot among network celebrities, thanks to Professor Chen, who graduated from sichuan fine arts institute Oil Painting Department and now teaches in sichuan fine arts institute. He not only supported the teahouse on the verge of bankruptcy, but also created today's traffic teahouse through a series of oil painting exhibitions with teahouse as the theme.
Today's traffic teahouse, the room is still the same, and the walls are still the same. Those tables and stools are no different from those in the picture. Two dilapidated rattan chairs, cloth strips are still alive, but they just take a back seat. In the two rooms behind the teahouse, there are more oil paintings hanging on the walls. I deeply feel that these paintings are really needed in the teahouse. Because in today's teahouse, people like the people in the painting have basically disappeared, replaced by tourists of all ages; Instead of holding a tea bowl, craning their necks and holding the dragon gate array loudly like the people in the painting, they hang their heads and play with their mobile phones or chat softly. Only a few people, often alone, are drinking tea and looking thoughtful. I don't know whether I am imagining the past of the teahouse or being troubled by the troubles in reality.
Huangjueping is beautiful because of the beauty of Sichuan, and the traffic teahouse is also famous for the beauty of Sichuan. What will happen in Huangjueping tomorrow? What will happen to Chuanmei in Huangjueping tomorrow? There are rumors that Chuanmei is being demolished and Huangjueping will be demolished. There are also rumors that it is not demolition, but transformation. Not destruction, but getting better. I just hope that no matter whether it is demolished or rebuilt, a protected area can be left, even a small place. Don't change it, keep it as it is, and let future people appreciate and cherish the scenery of the past.
