The organizational structure of the School of Architecture and Urban Planning of Guangzhou University

1. Administrative Structure

The college currently has 3 departments, 4 management offices, and 6 laboratories. The 3 departments are: Architecture Department, Urban Planning Department, and Landscape Design Department; the 4 management offices are: Academic Affairs Office, Student Affairs Office, Laboratory Work Office, and College Comprehensive Office; 6 laboratories include: Architectural Physics Laboratory, Architectural Digital Laboratory, Urban Information Processing Laboratory, Landscape Architecture Laboratory, Architectural Model Laboratory, and Architectural Photography Laboratory. In order to promote the sharing of resources and give full play to the overall advantages, the college integrated six laboratories into one comprehensive laboratory, and relied on the laboratory to establish a series of scientific research institutions such as the Urban Planning and Design Institute and the Lingnan Architectural Research Institute.

2. Academic Institutions

The academic institution of the college is composed of the following five sub-committees, which supervise and review the teaching and scientific research work of the college to ensure the orderly conduct of the teaching organization and scientific research work of the college.

(1) The academic subcommittee of the college

is composed of 7 teachers with senior professional and technical titles. Responsible for the discussion and consultation on major issues such as discipline construction and development, conducting grassroots evaluation of teaching and scientific research awards, and conducting grassroots evaluation of applications for professional titles by teachers in the college.

(2) The Degree Subcommittee of the College

It is composed of 5 teachers with senior professional and technical titles and is responsible for the grassroots evaluation of bachelor's and master's degrees, as well as the selection of tutors.

(3) College Teaching Guidance Subcommittee

Composed of 9 teachers with senior professional and technical titles, it provides guidance on the planning and development of education and teaching work in various majors of the college , and is responsible for the review of teaching plans for various majors in the hospital.

(4) The College Teaching Supervision Subcommittee

Composed of 7 teachers with senior professional and technical titles, they supervise and monitor the teaching process of each major in the college.

(5) College Teaching Materials Construction Subcommittee

Composed of 6 teachers with senior professional and technical titles, they plan and review the construction of teaching materials for various majors in the college.

In addition, in order to effectively implement the school's social orientation, the college has specially established the "Professional Development Advisory Committee", "Laboratory Construction Advisory Committee" and other institutions, including government management departments, enterprises and institutions, and relevant majors in Hong Kong. Professionals from all walks of life, including institutions, experts and professors from other universities, and retired teachers of our college, participate in the formulation of talent training programs and curriculum systems for this major. 3. Industrial Institutions

The Architectural Design and Research Institute of Guangzhou University was approved by the school in 2006 and was officially placed under the management of the School of Architecture. The dean of the college concurrently serves as the dean of the Design Institute, and one deputy dean serves as the executive deputy dean of the Architectural Design Institute, providing a better platform for teachers and students to participate in social practice.
