Review of Dunhua Experimental Middle School

Forty years have passed since 1978 ChunDunhua Experimental Middle School was founded. Whenever I recall my past experience in Dunhua Experimental Middle School, my mind clearly shows some kind and familiar figures of teachers and classmates, and my heart is full of nostalgia, because my father and my second generation have left different traces in the experimental middle school and have deep memories and unforgettable love for me.

Forty years back in time,1one day in March, 978, I was fourteen years old and was in Class 5, Grade 8, west of the new teaching building in Dunhua No.1 Middle School. Suddenly there was a noise downstairs, and I heard familiar shouts. I know my father is directing freshmen who have just been admitted to key middle schools to move desks and chairs from the classroom on the first floor to the new teaching building. Wang Baocai, the head teacher who was giving a lecture, was also attracted by the sound. He opened the window and looked downstairs for a while.

1977 The decision to resume the college entrance examination system brought China's education and personnel training back to the track of healthy development, and also became the prelude to China's reform and opening up. It was a time to set things right, and everything was in full swing. We are fortunate to catch up with the opportunity of the development of the times when we are ignorant, bid farewell to all kinds of critical movements, bid farewell to the successive activities of learning workers and peasants, return to the classroom, and start a normal study life.

In order to better improve the teaching level,1in March, 978, the Dunhua County Party Committee and the county government established a key middle school in Dunhua County according to the instructions of their superiors. At that time, the name of this school was Dunhua No.1 Middle School, and the original Dunhua No.1 Middle School was changed to Dunhua No.6 Middle School. Later, the key middle school was named Dunhua County Experimental Middle School, and Dunhua No.1 Middle School also resumed its original name. When the school was founded, his father Li Jianshu was transferred from Dunhua No.1 Middle School to the head of the Chinese group and became one of the 21 founders of Dunhua Experimental Middle School. His father was forty-five years old that year, and like many teachers transferred to experimental middle schools, he was in his prime.

Soon, the first liberal arts class was established among the students in the experimental middle school, and my father with more than 20 years of teaching experience served as the class teacher. In order to improve students' academic performance, my father often goes out early and comes back late, and puts all his efforts and energy into teaching and improving students' academic performance. My father knows every student's study like the back of his hand. There was once a girl who only enrolled in a technical secondary school because she was not confident enough to fill in her volunteers. Her father thinks that she has the strength to go to college, constantly persuading her, and even working for her parents, so that she can change her wishes and apply for college. 1979 In the college entrance examination, his liberal arts class achieved excellent results, and most students were successfully admitted to the next higher education institution. As expected, the girl who changed her wishes under her father's persuasion was admitted to the university and stayed on as a teacher after graduation.

In the first few years of experimental middle school, after every college entrance examination, my father was transferred to Yanbian Prefecture as a marking teacher to take part in marking Chinese papers. After he came back, he was sent to Kouqian Town, Yongji County by the Experimental Middle School, and the Jilin Provincial Admissions Office arranged for students to enroll in various schools after the college entrance examination. My father actively communicated with the teachers in charge of admission in each school to help those experimental middle school candidates who failed to enroll voluntarily adjust their schools or majors and reduce the possibility of dropping out of school. With the help of his father, the fate of many candidates has been alleviated.

? The establishment of Dunhua experimental middle school is also the direction and goal of our junior high school students to change their destiny. After more than one year's intense and arduous study,1July, 978, I passed the unified examination in the whole county, and was admitted to an experimental middle school with many students, becoming the second-stage student after the school was established.

The experimental middle school at that time was located in a yard on the south side of the workers, peasants and soldiers hotel. Originally the fifth primary school, it was later changed to Dunhua Normal School. The school gate is in the east, the fence is made of basalt, and the yard is not very big. To the north is a row of bungalows with corridors. The lobby of the bungalow is in the middle, with two steps. On the east is the classroom where all classes are located, and on the west is the office and teachers' teaching and research section. The south of the school is a row of bungalows, the east is the student dormitory, and the west is

After entering school in August, we were divided into two classes. I'm in Class One. The head teacher is Mr. Wang Baocai, the head teacher of Class 5, Grade 8, Dunhua No.1 Middle School. After graduating from junior high school, Miss Wang took us to work in an experimental middle school and became our teacher again. Mr. Wang continued to teach mathematics and gave lectures carefully. The head teacher of Class Two is Mr. Zhao Chunfang, who teaches us physics. The lecture was full of fun. The chemistry teacher is Wei, the English teacher is Wei, and the PE teacher is Xu Ziyuan. He just graduated from school and taught politics under Mr Zheng Xianghe. Later, he died young because of overwork. Besides, teachers Zhao Decai and Wang Dawei also gave us math lessons.

The Chinese teacher is Shao Longbao, who just graduated from the Chinese Department of Yanbian University. He was originally from Shanghai. He is very tall. He often wears a blue tunic suit in class and speaks with a Shanghai accent. Teacher Shao once took a short article I wrote about the clerk's cold treatment of customers to class two to read. Because Hou's sister and my mother both work in the same unit, he told her my composition. It took me a long time to learn about it and I was a little excited.

When I was in junior high school, I was exposed to other courses except English and got to know something. Everyone is new to English. It was a little difficult at first, and it was not easy to get started. I remember Shenlongwan jokingly told several students around him that learning English should be more associative. For example, the word in the first English class is "Lesson One", which can be remembered by associating it with Shenlong Bay. In a class, Mr Li Jinghua taught us that the English word for "teacher" is "teacher". She joked that what "car" is still called "train"? It turns out that Miss Li also has a very humorous side.

? Shortly after entering the school, the experimental middle school had to move to the bungalow in the north of No.3 Middle School because Dunhua Normal School wanted to go back to the original school building. The location there is remote and far from the school. Many students go to school by bike. At that time, I couldn't ride a bike, so I had to walk. After dinner every morning, I come out from my home near the brewery, walk to the Hotel of Workers, Peasants and Soldiers, turn south, cross a vegetable field in the south of the department store, walk to Da Nanguan, and then take a walk. Fortunately, the experimental middle school soon moved back to the original campus.

? Because the new school building of the experimental middle school is under construction, the school often arranges us to work at the new school site located in the north of the third primary school with tools such as shovels. At that time, it was a scrawny clearing, and the ground was full of large and small stones. We mainly clean and level the site, move bricks and dig the foundation for the new building.

? 19781February, China blew the curtain of reform and opening up, and the window to the world gradually opened. Everything we heard and witnessed was different from the past. On the way to school, you can often see a new imported tractor with transparent glass windows in the cab, instead of the old-fashioned Dongfanghong 28 tractor. The school also organized us to listen to the recording of the report of the overseas delegation on the playground. These contents are full of freshness for us who grew up in the Cultural Revolution, always causing bursts of laughter, and also let us indirectly understand the gap between China and developed countries.

Although the salaries of teachers are not high and there is no subsidy, they devote themselves to teaching and educating people and take turns tutoring students after work. Before I was admitted to the experimental middle school, I went to the experimental middle school with my father one night. In the evening, I saw Mr. Wu Yinlong tutoring a class. The classroom is crowded with students. Mr. Wu stood in front of the blackboard and patiently and meticulously taught the students to solve problems. Every day, he talks until eight o'clock. Every progress of students embodies the hard work and sweat of teachers. These teachers turn every bit of faith and diligence into fountains in the desert and lamps at night.

? The vision of the future and the idea of changing fate make every student have a strong desire to learn. The students in the classroom listen carefully, the learning atmosphere is very strong, and the students are dressed simply. Boys and girls basically don't talk, but they are all concentrating on their studies. These teachers and students left a deep impression on the inheritance and accumulation of school history with their own efforts and dedication, and also opened up a good school spirit and style of study in experimental middle schools.

? At that time, the school often arranged for students to attend large classes, that is, first-year and second-year students attended classes together. As there was no big class, they took stools and lined up in the national cellar meeting room in the south of the department store.

A few months after entering the school, the school is going to open a liberal arts class among our students, so we called two classes of students to have a meeting. Yang Minggu, the teaching director, gave a speech to the students, analyzed the advantages and prospects of the above classes, and asked the students to study in a targeted manner according to their own situation. Because I haven't laid a good foundation in mathematics and physics in junior high school, it is a little hard for me to study mathematics and physics in senior high school. I was very interested in Chinese, history and geography since I was a child, so I decided to go to a liberal arts class and find another way on the road of learning, but many students were watching and few people signed up.

? After a while, the liberal arts class was established. At first, there were only nine students in the class. The class teacher is Mr. Zong Yukui, and the classroom is not enough. So we were arranged to live in the dining hall in the south of the school as a classroom. After the dining table is cleaned, it becomes our desk. Science students sometimes come to watch the fun during recess. Seeing that the first liberal arts class scored well in the college entrance examination, the number of students in our class gradually increased. After the first batch of students graduated, we moved to the classroom next to the landlord in Beiping.

Teacher Zong is responsible for teaching our students political lessons. He is tall and wears glasses. His lecture was concise and logical. As a class teacher, he gives up his rest almost every Sunday and comes to the class to watch us study like a parent. Teacher Wang Naichen gave us a geography lesson. In addition to textbooks, Mr. Wang also asked each of us to buy an Atlas of Educated Youth, which gave us a geography lesson with maps, enhanced our perceptual knowledge of topography, landforms and mountains and rivers, and benefited us a lot. Teacher Jiang gave us a history lesson. When he was in Dunhua No.1 Middle School, he used to be the head teacher of several of our classmates. His history lessons are often clear in context, and historical tasks and events are constantly emerging. Teacher Wu Yinlong gave us a math lesson. He is meticulous and takes pains to talk about it. Mr. Wu once had stomach trouble in class. He endured pain and sweat and continued his lecture. After class, he fell to the ground. I was taken to the hospital and was diagnosed with stomach bleeding. Just after the operation, I went on to make up lessons for us. After decades, Mr. Wu's diligent and dedicated attitude and fighting spirit are still awe-inspiring.

After my father sent off the graduating class, he was responsible for teaching our students Chinese, mainly liberal arts classes. I also became one of my father's many students. Teacher Zong asked me to be the representative of Chinese class in liberal arts class, responsible for collecting Chinese homework and leading students to recite texts in class. Sometimes teachers and provincial and state leaders will take classes in experimental middle schools. The school arranged for my father to lead our class to have a Chinese class in the classroom of No.5 Middle School, and I led the students to recite the text. Now that I think about it, I miss that time very much. I thank Mr. Zong for giving me such an opportunity to be the representative of my father's Chinese class. Teachers Han Qi, Li Changhua and Shoushan Li also gave us Chinese lessons.

Many years later, at a class reunion in Dunhua Financial Hotel, Xu can still remember the characteristics of his father when he was in class: he looked up at the heights and talked with Kan Kan. Father usually writes down the text topics that the workers talk about in the whole underground class on the blackboard, and then begins to give lectures. My father's blackboard writing left a deep impression on many students, and his strokes were standardized, orderly and meticulous. My father is tall and steady, with strong lectures and clear organization. He led us into the artistic conception of Du Fu's famous poem "Autumn wind breaks the thatched cottage", and realized the poet's broad mind that "there are ten thousand spacious houses in Qian Qian, and all the poor people in the world are happy", and led us into the scene of "Yueyang Tower". While mastering the knowledge and skills of classical Chinese, we also realized and pondered the ancients' "Worry about the world first, worry about the world later."

? I remember my father telling us to recite more idioms in Chinese class. I often take out the Dictionary of Chinese Idioms compiled by the Chinese Department of Gansu Normal University and recite them one by one. This dictionary is thick and contains many idioms, which will benefit me a lot in the future. Father dutifully completed every class in the class and passed on his knowledge to the students without reservation. By his own admission, my father never gave me a small stove and made up lessons alone. ?

? At that time, the school conditions were relatively difficult. In winter, there is no heating in the bungalow, and each class has to build its own stove to keep warm. The stove in our liberal arts class was built by my father and several teachers with bricks and cement, and then put on the furnace tube. The students in the class take turns to be on duty. Every morning, they bring pine trees and firewood from home, light the stove, put coal blocks or briquettes on it to make the room warmer and wait for the students to come to class. Sometimes the stove smokes into the house when it meets the headwind.

In our sophomore year, we moved to the classroom on the west side of the bungalow. Although the study life is very tense, the school still arranges us to do eye exercises every day, and let everyone come out to do an interval exercise on the playground every morning. I remember when I graduated, I cherished this time in high school very much, and I worked hard every time I did the problem.

I usually get up around 4: 30 every morning. After washing my face, I came out from home and ran along the road to the east of the fire road. Instead, I ran to the dam along a tree-lined path leading to the river on the east side of the railway. Then, hold the back of the book for a while, then walk home slowly, change a book from the front yard to the backyard, and go to school after dinner. I didn't go home until late at night. After supper, I usually read a book under the lamp for a while. Sometimes when there is a power failure, I will continue my study under kerosene lamps or candles.

? At that time, we lived in an adobe house. When it rains, it often leaks. In winter, cold air gets into the house along the cracks in the wall and forms a thick layer of frost. These are not taken seriously at all, and there is no time to care. Now that I think about it, I miss the simple and simple days, and the bitterness and tiredness in life have passed carelessly. ?

? In the liberal arts class, a male student surnamed Zhang once transferred to Yanbian No.2 Middle School for a period of time, and later returned to the experimental middle school. He said that the teaching quality of Yanbian No.2 Middle School is very good, and the students' grades are excellent, which is much better than Dunhua Experimental Middle School. After listening to his words, I was a little drummed and unconvinced, which encouraged me to study hard.

Time flies to 1980, and the college entrance examination will be held in July. On New Year's Eve, as usual, many firecrackers will be set off. I suddenly had a whim, imitated the ancients, and quietly made a wish with a small rocket with a tripod: if the rocket successfully took off and exploded, it would mean that I could be admitted to the university. As a result, after I lit the twist of the small rocket in the yard, I watched the sparks flash a few times, and there was no movement, and my heart was somewhat hopeful. After a while, I went back to the house and didn't want to see the rocket thrown in the corner. I pulled a twist from other firecrackers, reconnected it with a small rocket and took it out. This time, the rocket flew in the air and exploded with a bang, which made my mood secretly happy again. Now I want to make a wish. It was an expectation.

One day in May, near the college entrance examination, I was called out by Mr. Zong, who was studying in class, and told me that my grandmother was ill near Beixinmen, No.1 Middle School in Dunhua. Let me have a look at it quickly. Several teachers arranged for students such as Wang Yuzeng, Wang Weixin, Jiang and Ji to go with me. I have been taking care of my grandmother since I was a child. I cooked my last meal at noon and pushed my car out in the afternoon. Suddenly I had a cerebral hemorrhage and fell on the side of the road. Some kind passers-by gathered around and quickly asked where my grandmother lived and how to contact her family. At that time, my grandmother couldn't speak, but she raised her hand and pointed to the pen that a kind person had inserted in her pocket. The kind-hearted man understood her meaning and gave her a pen and paper. She wrote it down on the paper. After the words "Li Jianshu of Dunhua Experimental Middle School", he fell into a coma. The good-hearted man found a unit nearby and called the experimental middle school. My father happened to be away from school. After the teacher who answered the phone learned the news, he quickly asked Mr. Zong to find me.

Several classmates asked me to sit in the car and hold grandma. They pushed the car and ran to the hospital. Grandma woke up once on the way, turned and opened her eyes to see me, and then passed out again. After arriving at the hospital, Wang Yuzeng helped me advance the medical expenses. President Zhao Shuchun and several teachers from the experimental middle school also rushed to the hospital to help with hospitalization. During grandma's illness and after her death, many teachers from the experimental middle school came to help. Whenever I think of the whole story, I am full of gratitude to this kind passerby, teacher and classmates from the experimental middle school.

Our students took the college entrance examination on July 7th, 8th and 9th. The examination room was in Dunhua No.5 Middle School. The day before the exam, the school organized us to visit the examination room and get familiar with the environment there. At that time, the college entrance examination was taken by students themselves, and there was no accompanying exam. Unlike now, there were no parents waiting anxiously outside. I remember before the Chinese exam, my father told the students the points for attention and composition in the test paper outside the examination room. When I took the geography exam in the afternoon, I didn't allocate time reasonably. Before I could write a comprehensive composition of 20 points, it was time for the exam to end. I feel very sorry, I have to give up. Only 30% of the English scores in that year were used to calculate the college entrance examination scores.

Anxious waiting, the college entrance examination scores came down. On the whole, our students did well in the exam and lived up to the teacher's painstaking cultivation and his own efforts. Most students were admitted to universities, junior colleges or technical secondary schools as they wished, and left Dunhua to study in other places.

Time is like a blink of an eye. It has been 38 years since our classmates graduated. Although distributed in various places at home and abroad, students have close contacts and frequent interactions, and the boundaries between the three classes have long been integrated into the profound friendship between students.

After we graduated from experimental middle school, the school moved to a new campus and used a new teaching building. It is still surrounded by walls made of basalt, but the courtyard is very open. The experimental middle school allocated a new house to my father. My family moved from the brewery to the brick bungalow outside the west wall of the experimental middle school. After returning to Dunhua in winter vacation, I lived in my father's new house. In the east, Mr. Bai Jialin from the physics group lives, and in the west, Mr. Liu lives next to him. In front of several bungalows is an open space, where grandpa has cultivated a small piece of land and planted corn and various vegetables.

Because of the high terrain on the west side of the big wall of the experimental middle school, every year around New Year's Eve 12, neighbors will stand on the edge of the big wall to see the scenery of Dunhua. Accompanied by the deafening firecrackers coming from their ears, I saw all kinds of fireworks climbing into the night sky from the east, blooming colorful flowers and forming a beautiful picture. In the colorful background, the teaching building of experimental middle school is particularly quiet and solemn.

After graduating from our class, my father served as the head teacher of the 82 nd liberal arts class in Senior Two. After graduating from this liberal arts class, he was appointed as the deputy director and director of the guidance office of the experimental middle school, and served as the full-time deputy secretary of the experimental middle school from 65438 to 0984. His usual work is very busy. During this period, my father gave up the opportunity to be a lecturer in Yanbian Normal University, Siping Normal University and other universities several times, devoted himself to his daily teaching work, conscientiously did his job, and won many honorary certificates such as "advanced worker" and "excellent teacher". Until 1985 was seconded to Dunhua Experimental Middle School by Dunhua Education Bureau for editing.

Dunhua Experimental Middle School is a small sapling planted during the long drought and rainy season, bathed in the spring breeze of reform and opening up, and has grown into a towering tree through the hard work of several generations of gardeners.

Things are different, time series changes, forty years of vicissitudes, and the past is like a song; The fragrance of peaches and plums has been passed down from generation to generation for forty years. On the occasion of the celebration, I sincerely wish Dunhua Experimental Middle School more brilliant in the years to come.
