Classification of coated paper
2. From the dyeing point of view, it can be divided into sizing dyeing and post-dyeing: sizing dyeing is to add toner when making paper into pulp, so that the color is evenly distributed in the paper fibers, so that the paper color is saturated and uniform, and the cross section is consistent. Post-dyeing is to dye the pigment on the paper surface by soaking after the paper is formed. The color stability is worse than that of pulp dyeing, and it is easy to decolor when it meets water. Dark paper tends to have white edges when folded, which destroys the overall effect.
3. From the way of embossing, it can be divided into pre-embossing and post-embossing: pre-embossing refers to using soft felt to make paper fibers distribute according to the natural grain of felt and form a special grain of paper when the pulp is not completely dehydrated. Before embossing, the paper grain transition is natural and delicate, which will not hurt the paper fiber. After embossing, the finished paper passes through the engraved steel roller, and the paper forms a pattern through mechanical pressure. The advantages of post-embossing are simple process, relatively low cost and convenience. But this process is harmful to paper fiber, so the quality of base paper directly affects the quality of finished paper after embossing. The regularity of the back embossing pattern has little change, and it is slightly mechanical compared with the front embossing pattern.
4. From the purpose, it can be divided into economic art paper and collection art paper. Economical coated paper is generally fluff coated paper, including reinforced rough paper, fine lines and etched coated paper. Collection-grade coated paper is mainly soft cotton, slippery cotton and cold-pressed coated paper. Please refer to Ganemler's art paper. Compared with velveteen art paper, it has more advantages in color expression and texture clarity. For example, Pantech cold-pressed coated paper has a rough and profound texture, contains no acid and lignin, and is based on 100% cotton paper. Imitating traditional watercolor paper, its natural white characteristics are widely used in museums, large-scale exhibitions, temples and so on. Copy and collect as special works of art.
