The design continues the retro elements of X camera series, but in terms of appearance material, metal appearance is no longer used, and plastic material is used instead. Although positioned in a relatively entry-level fuselage, X-M 1 also retains the design of hot boots and built-in flash, but the hot boots do not provide window expansion. In order to meet the usage habits of ordinary consumers, X-M 1 no longer insists on the design that the first two X-ring cameras adopt the lens aperture ring and the camera controls the shutter speed with exposure value.
