The essence of X-ray: electromagnetic wave with certain wavelength and frequency, with wave-particle duality. X-ray imaging makes use of the energy conversion when it interacts with matter, and highlights the properties of particles.

X-rays have extremely short wavelength and extremely high energy. Its wavelength is between ultraviolet and gamma rays, and the range is 0.0006-50 nm. The commonly used wavelength for X-ray diagnosis is 0.008 to 0.03 1 nm.
