Bogda Peak is located in Bogda Peak Nature Reserve in Tianchi, which is the core area of Bogda Peak International Biosphere Reserve. In recent years, due to the vigorous development of outdoor sports, Tianchi-Bogda Peak-Dabancheng Line has become an adventure hotline in Xinjiang.

The change of the atmosphere and the influence of frequent human activities have accelerated the melting of the glacier resources in Bogda Peak, which is decreasing year by year, the ecological environment is deteriorating and the biodiversity is gradually decreasing. The garbage discarded by some tourists in Tianchi Scenic Area and Bogda Peak also pollutes the upstream water source, causing the drinking water quality to exceed the standard, which directly affects the living environment of residents in Urumqi, Changji and Turpan and the national economic development.
