Behind the scenes of Hail, Caesar
This film is the second collaboration between cinematographer Roger Deakins and the Coen brothers five years after "True Grit". The Coen brothers' works are almost all shot by Roger Deakins, except for "The Ballad of Drunkenness" in the middle, which was shot by Bruno Delbonnel. Joel Coen's wife Frances McDormand stars in a Coen brothers film for the eighth time. The film is the fifth film that Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill have collaborated on, following "The Last of Us," "Armageddon," "The Lego Movie" and "The Last of Us 2." The film company "Capitol Pictures" in the film is fictional, but it also appeared in the Coen brothers' 1991 film "Barton Fink." Also filming on the same set at the same time as "Hail, Caesar" was the TV series "Los Angeles Series" directed by James Franco.
