Second, when to shoot?

The best shooting time for outdoor backlit portraits can follow the so-called "golden moment of photography", one hour after sunrise and one hour before sunset. If you don't want to get up so hard, choose one hour before sunset. At dusk, the color tone is warm and rich, and the backlight is smaller than at this time, making it easier to shoot. Because the indoor light is dark, if you shoot a portrait with backlight, try to choose a place with bright outdoor light and close to the window, and the backlight effect is better.

Third, how to shoot?

Choose raw format to shoot first, so that the photos can keep more details and lay a good foundation for the later stage. Use spot metering to aim at people's eyes to see if it is necessary to increase the exposure appropriately to ensure the correct exposure of the model's face; In order to keep more details and balance the light ratio, you can use a reflector or a flash to fill the light. In the case of backlight, the light is strong, and sometimes out of focus occurs.
