After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), he served as director and deputy director of changchun film studio, member of the 4th China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and director of the 3rd to 5th China Film Association. The films directed include Young People in Our Village, Hong Haier, Sanjie Liu and Guerrilla with Wu in the Plain.
