How to protect the camera

In order to protect the lens, a colorless and transparent UV mirror or a light pink skylight 1B should be screwed on the lens at ordinary times. These two screens will not affect the exposure, which can not only prevent wind, sand, rain and snow, but also play a role in shock absorption in minor collisions.

In the cold winter, if you stay outdoors for a long time, you should always put the camera in your coat after shooting, so as not to make the battery temperature in the machine drop too low and make full use of the battery energy. When shooting from outdoor to indoor, you can put your hand on the lens cover to preheat the lens in time, so there will be no "breath". If you cover it with "breath", don't wipe it off in a hurry, or you will wipe off the flowers. Just wait a while, and the fog will disappear naturally.

It is best not to change the shutter position after the shutter of domestic mirror is tightened, otherwise it will easily cause damage. If the gear position needs to be changed, if the camera has multiple exposure devices or the shutter is not linked with the film winding device, you can cover the lens cover and press the shutter, and then tighten the shutter after adjusting the exposure time.

When changing films, the single-lens reflex camera should open the aperture to the maximum, so that when the shutter is pressed and rolled over the film head, the aperture will no longer shrink and expand, reducing unnecessary wear. Besides, you should wrap the camera strap around your wrist, so as to prevent the camera from accidentally falling, and you can hold the camera more easily, so as to avoid being too nervous in a hurry and accidentally touching the shutter curtain. In a short period of two months, a company broke the titanium curtain shutters of Nikon Fe2 and Nikon FM2 continuously with its fingers, so don't be careless when changing the film.

Many books and periodicals warn photographers that direct sunlight will burn shutter curtains. However, after many tests, the author found that the possibility of curtain cloth burning is extremely small as long as it is used properly. Because the nonmetallic curtain of modern cameras is coated with heat-resistant and aging-resistant rubber coating, when shooting outdoors, the aperture is generally in the middle and small range (such as F5.6-F 1 1), and most of the light is blocked by the aperture, which greatly reduces the infrared power in the sunlight. The author uses a standard lens with a focal length of 50 mm, and the aperture is opened to F 5.6. After five hours of continuous exposure to the strongest direct sunlight in Beijing in summer, the ordinary black fabric used in the experiment was not damaged. Although the automatic aperture of a single-lens reflex camera is always fully open, the sun will not shine on the curtains because of the blocking of the reflector. Some people worry that the sun will shine on the curtains through the gap at the edge of the mirror. In fact, in order to make the framing picture more complete, in recent years, camera manufacturers are competing to increase the area of the mirror surface, and the phenomenon that the curtain cloth is burned by light leakage at the edge of the mirror surface has been eliminated.

Please note: modern cameras are not afraid of cold sun exposure, which will cause irreparable damage to the metering system! Because whether it is gallium arsenide phosphate, blue silicon photocell or cadmium sulfide photoresistor, the sensitivity will be greatly reduced when exposed to strong light for a long time. So cover the lens cover in time after shooting.

After the camera is used, when it is put into the holster, the shooting distance of the lens must be adjusted to infinity, and then the lens barrel shrinks the shortest. Camera holster is generally divided into two parts: the back cover of the fuselage and the front cover of the lens. Take off the front cover when taking pictures, so as not to block the line of sight of the lens. When the lens is fitted with a hood, or replaced with a telephoto or zoom lens, especially with a flash, the lens front cover cannot be used. Therefore, a reasonably designed camera bag is more practical than a leather case. The camera bag should be made of impervious materials (such as artificial leather) and lighter in color (such as bright red, orange, bright yellow and white), which can effectively reflect the infrared rays in the sun and avoid the temperature in the bag from rising too high. The cushion in the bag should be made of foamed plastic wrapped with nylon thread, which is smooth, soft and lint-free. The camera with the front cover removed can be directly put into the camera bag, so that it can be taken out for shooting at any time.
