SC: This 10-model Panamera 4 was launched in 2012 and I bought it from a friend. I have always been interested in second-hand cars, and the reason is very simple: they are cost-effective! The price of this car was about 400,000 yuan at that time. The selling price of naked cars back then was more than 1.2 million yuan, and you know what a Porsche is, there is no such thing as a naked car!

JY: What kind of cars did you drive before this car?

SC: That’s quite a lot. Now I have an Alison at home. I usually drive it when my wife picks up the kids and takes the family out for shopping. This Panamera?4 is basically what I use. Before this, I also played with MINI COOPER JCW for a while, and that car was particularly fun! I also played JDM for a while, and I still prefer Japanese cars.

JY: Have you ever thought about which car you will switch to in the end, and will you never switch again?

SC: Maybe it’s GTR, because I had an experience in a 4S store in my previous job, and at that time I was a sales consultant for GTR. Due to work reasons, I participated in a lot of GTR product training, and I found that this is the most cost-effective supercar! For a price of more than one million, it can give you a car comparable to a supercar costing 3 or 4 million! What could be more fragrant than this!

JY: Then why didn’t you continue to choose Japanese performance cars? Instead, I bought this Panamera? 4

SC: Because I also have a good impression of the Porsche brand! Moreover, there are now very few pure JDM models in China. In addition, now that I am older, I may not have so much time to mess with the car. The essence of JDM is to hand-build a unique car, which is too time-consuming. In contrast, if you choose this Porsche Panamera 4, it will be much easier to pack up.

JY: You just said that it is much easier to pack up. How do you say this?

SC: This is actually not difficult to understand. The biggest difference between playing German and Japanese models is that JDM requires you to DIY a lot of things, such as your front lip, which brand to choose to match your car model. How this set of exhaust needs to be matched with computer data is something you have to figure out yourself. The German kits and computer programs are all ready-made. You just need to choose the one you like among the suitable models. The fit is very high! The ECU programs are also ready-made. There are already standard answers to what improvements different programs will bring to the car.

JY: So you chose the Panamera 4 because you are lazy. Am I right? Hahaha!

SC: I entered Panamera after playing JDM. Is 4 good? I like both. If I am lazy when it comes to cars, then there are very few who are diligent. Moreover, another very important point when choosing Panamera 4 is that I have to consider practicality. Not only to meet my daily travel needs, but also to meet the travel needs of my family. Then there’s the space in the back, which is really huge! You know I love skiing. With the rear seats folded down, it’s no problem to put some ski equipment, snowboards, etc. in the trunk of this car.

JY: Do you think if you invest 400,000 yuan into a 12-year-old car, will you lose it to yourself?

SC: This is another reason I want to tell you about choosing this car.

Because the Panamera has had relatively few updates over the years, this car was launched in 2010 and pioneered the Porsche 4-door GT style. This has never happened before. Although it has been imitated since then, his classic lines have never been surpassed in my opinion. This car is also highly recognized in the market. So I have no worries about its value retention rate!

JY: Do you think there is anything bad about this car?

SC: Actually, one thing I really want to complain about is that the price of options on this car is relatively high. For example, the independently controlled air conditioner in the rear row costs about 14,000 yuan. BOSE's audio system is also more than 10,000 yuan, and the reversing image is also more than 10,000 yuan. Most of them start at 10,000 yuan, and even the ashtrays, which are officially called smoking sets, cost more than 700 yuan each. Nowadays, many configurations of the new Panamera are standard, but many things on this car were originally optional.

Then there is another thing that I am particularly dissatisfied with. I am not particularly satisfied with the power of this car. Because my car is equipped with a 3.6L naturally aspirated engine with a maximum horsepower of 300 horsepower. At that time, probably because of limited funds, the 4.8L Panamera? 4S version was not considered. Although the power of 300 horses is enough for daily transportation, because the weight of this car is very large (1835KG), it is still a bit uncomfortable if you want to overtake at high speed.

JY: Having said all the bad things, is there anything that makes you particularly satisfied?

SC: The most satisfying thing is that it looks good! Its lines make this car particularly full, especially its butt! I must take a close-up of the rear of the car when the time comes! ! So beautiful!

In addition, its interior is particularly classic. Including the optional quartz watch and the physical buttons on its center console. In fact, many cars now use touch, which I am actually quite disgusted with. On the one hand, I'm a germophobe. If it's all touch screens, I'll basically get a bunch of fingerprints after just one use, which I can't stand. Another point is that touching things is really not a good thing for driving safety.

JY: Last question, tell me what makes you most satisfied with it!

SC: The biggest feeling I have when driving this car, and what I enjoy the most, is that this car has a really high rate of returning customers. If you walk in a crowded place, you will really see many people paying attention to this car and talking about it. Dear Porsche owner, I am here! ! !
