Classic appearance, smaller size

Through the test results, we can see that the resolution of this mirrorless camera of Olympus E-M 10 is basically around 2500 lines (of course, this level has something to do with the lens). For a M4/3 camera with160,000 pixels, this level can be regarded as a qualified answer sheet.

Under the strict evaluation environment, we used Olympus E-M 10 to take the indoor proofs in the above picture, and enlarged four partial screenshots by 100%.

It can be seen from the enlarged detail map that the edge resolution level of Olympus E-M 10 is not as good as that of the center, and the camera has not been sharpened, but it may be because of the lens group that this camera does not show the details as we evaluated the E-M5 before.

Such a high resolution. But the overall resolution of the lens is acceptable. It can be said that Olympus E-M 10 is not at a disadvantage in the entry camera. Don't forget that a large number of entry cameras on the market are already APS-C specifications.

The high sensitivity effect is good, and ISO 1600 is the limit.

Olympus E-M 10 adopts the same TruePic VII image processor as the top camera E-M 1 of OM-D at present, and its sensitivity range is ISO200-ISO25600, which can be extended down to ISO 100.

After testing the resolution of Olympus E-M 10 in the evaluation room, we can draw a conclusion that this camera has maintained a good purity and well-preserved details before ISO 1600. After rising to ISO3200, you can feel that the noise begins to increase and the clarity of details begins to decline. In ISO6400 and beyond, with the increase of sensitivity, there are more and more noises and the image quality is seriously degraded. So we can draw a conclusion that the limit sensitivity of Olympus E-M 10 is ISO 1600, which is one of the best in both M4/3 system and mirrorless camera.

The color is blue.

Let's take a look at the color cast of Olympus E-M 10 camera. In the color test, we set Olympus E-M 10 as the automatic white balance mode to shoot the standard color card (the red box area in the above picture is the color test range), and finally analyze the test results with Imatest software.

The part surrounded by gray lines in the figure is the color gamut range of Olympus E-M 10. The square color block in the test chart is the ideal color value, and the circular color block is the actual shooting value. As can be clearly seen from the above figure, in the automatic white balance mode, the red, green and blue colors of Olympus E-M 10 are all offset, and the blue color has the largest offset, so it is more suitable for taking landscape photos in the automatic white balance mode.

A fast AF focusing system is enough.

At present, Olympus E-M 1 adopts ultra-high speed dual fast AF hybrid focusing system, which makes us feel the pleasure of fast focusing. However, because the sensor used by Olympus E-M 10 is different from E-M 1, the E-M5 fast AF focusing system is still used. However, although the fast AF focusing system is not the best in the current Oba system, the performance of E-M5 and E-M 10 has proved that the focusing speed of fast AF is enough to throw many streets in a mirrorless camera, so the focusing system has always been the strength of Oba.
