Transparent flowers are swaying mysteriously in the water garden.

Luna ikuta continued her botanical research with transparent plant specimens in the underwater landscape, expanding her "afterlife" film series, this time Belladonna Lily and Gerbera jamesonii. This new creation, called "The Afterlife: Belladonna", combines the land and sea worlds, turning flowers into anemone-like forms and mysteriously swaying in the dark water.

Luna ikuta removes their hue and chlorophyll, making plants transparent, thus creating a surreal and mysterious appearance. Belladonna lily, which grows in Los Angeles, is a bulbous perennial with a large cluster of 4- 12 fragrant trumpet-shaped pink flowers, which grow naturally in summer. Here, lilies and daisies have adopted a new form, which looks like alien life on Obsidian.

Details of gerbera jamesonii

Structural details and veinlets can be seen in three-dimensional space, well preserved and visible to the naked eye. The artist's success makes us unbelievable, as if it were computer-generated, but the details reveal that the complexity of unrepeatable flower anatomy lies in its natural form. Luna ikuta's works have opened up new ways of plant preservation and flower art, and destroyed the traditional greening methods.
