Error setting 1: white balance
The survey found that the white balance of most photos was set to automatic white balance. In most cases, this is really a simple choice to get the correct white balance. However, automatic things cannot be foolproof forever. Now many systems tend to automatically correct the color of natural light, so the color of photos taken by automatic white balance will be neutral. In other words, if you shoot with automatic white balance on a warm morning or at sunset, you will find that the tone of the photo looks cold.
Therefore, when you shoot outdoors, it is suggested that you adjust the white balance to daylight mode to get better photo effects. The camera's shadow or cloudy white balance option can add some warm tones to photos, so it can be used to take more colorful photos than using automatic white balance in cloudy weather. In some cases, this color change may be a bit excessive, but it is worth a try. Because you will find out what kind of white balance mode is more suitable under what circumstances. Finally, you can customize photos by customizing the white balance.
The setting method of custom white balance for different cameras is basically the same. They all take a white card or a neutral gray card with a camera at the same brightness as the subject, and set this photo to manual white balance. When the camera is set to automatic white balance, you will find that when you shoot against a white card or a gray card again, the photo is neutral.
Of course, as long as you like, you can adjust the white balance of the camera according to your own ideas to get warmer or colder tones, or try to use non-neutral calibration targets to make the photos different.
Error setting 2: Clarity
When you choose to shoot in JPEG format, you will find that the camera provides different sharpening options for JPEG images. Some people think that only by choosing the highest setting can a better image be taken. But this is not the case, because when you shoot on a clean ground plane, there may be halos caused by excessive sharpening of the edges. On the contrary, if you use a lower sharpening setting, you can make the details of the photo look softer, which will look much better than the edges that have become stiff because of excessive sharpening.
If you want to get the best photo effect directly through the camera, you must carefully choose the sharpening option of the picture. If you really don't understand the difference between sharpening settings, then it is safest to choose a mid-range sharpening effect when shooting.
As for photographers who want to have better photo quality and more sharpening options, they should choose the RAW format to get the original image.
Error setting 3: autofocus
Many people set the camera's focus mode to autofocus, which is indeed a way to achieve fast focus in most shooting situations. However, the autofocus of most cameras is set to focus on the object closest to the lens and the center of the viewfinder. In this case, if you shoot an eccentric object with many objects around it, the camera is prone to focus errors.
We suggest using manual focusing instead of automatic focusing, because you can freely change the focus through manual focusing to choose the focus subject you want. The focusing modes of cameras usually include single autofocus, artificial intelligence autofocus and other modes, and all modes are explained in the user manual. When shooting, you need to choose the correct focusing method according to the scene, and then, move the focus to the object you want to highlight most in the picture.
Occasionally, it may happen that the subject is not in the alternative focus of the camera, and focus reconstruction can be used at this time. To rebuild the focus, you only need to select the central focus (because it is usually the most sensitive), then move your camera to focus the subject, and then press the shutter for half press. After focusing, you can re-compose, and then press the shutter button.

This is no problem when the shutter speed is very fast or both the subject and the camera remain stationary. But when exposed for a long time or the subject moves, the flash synchronization will make the photo look weird.

You may not understand why, with the correct exposure and proper sharpening, the photos will have a blurred effect of moving backwards.
This is actually caused by flash synchronization, which should be solved by Hou Lian flash synchronization. Hou Lian flash synchronization means that when the shutter is about to close, the flash will fill the main body, thus recording the movement of the object during the opening time of the shutter, leaving a series of ghosts on the screen, and then the flash will flash to "freeze" the last frame of the movement, forming a fuzzy effect behind the object.
This flash mode can make the image look more natural and emphasize the sense of speed of the object.
Error setting 5: Noise reduction by long exposure
The long exposure noise reduction function of the camera means that the camera uses an algorithm to reduce the noise of the photo after taking the photo. After the camera takes a picture, take a long black lens again (at this time, the shutter is not actually opened, so no light reaches the sensor). According to the noise of the second shot of all-black film, the noise of the first photo is deduced, and the superposition and subtraction are carried out.
Because many photographers think that it takes twice as long to use the long exposure noise reduction function, and this time sometimes even takes several minutes, they often choose to turn off the long exposure noise reduction function of the camera. However, the noise reduction effect of long exposure is still very worth looking forward to. Maybe you can use post-editing software to extract noise to reduce noise, but it is wise to take all-black film in the same situation when shooting, because the sensor is prone to heat up with the increase of work, thus affecting the noise distribution of the photo. Therefore, the most foolproof way is to use the camera system to reduce noise.
Error setting 6: shutter speed
Many novices tend to overestimate their ability to hold a camera, so they often use it in the case of long exposure. In order to take clear photos, the basic rule of hand-held camera is that the shutter speed of the camera must be the reciprocal of the focal length, which is what we often call a safe shutter. For example, if you shoot with a focal length of 100mm, the shutter speed needs to reach at least1100 seconds to ensure that the camera can take clear photos in your hand.
When this rule is applied to a full-frame camera, it is necessary to consider the focal length expansion coefficient of the full-frame camera. For example, a 100mm lens is installed on the Canon EOS700D, because its focal length magnification is 1.6 times, so the safe shutter speed needs to reach at least1160 seconds.
However, some cameras and lenses now have built-in anti-shake systems, so that the camera will not be too blurred even if it is photographed by hand below the safety shutter.
