Rules of Golden Rooster Award in Chinese Film

The Golden Rooster Award was founded in 198 1. The Golden Rooster Award consists of about 20 awards (including Best Feature Film, Documentary, Science and Education Film, Art Film, opera film, Best Actor and Actress, Best Supporting Actor and Actress, Best Screenplay, Director, Photography, Art, Music, Recording, Editing, Special Effects, Costume, Makeup and Props), and special awards or honorary awards are added when necessary. The Golden Rooster Award has the following film awards:

Best feature film, best documentary film, best science and education film, best art film, best opera film, best digital film, best children film, best screenwriter, best director, best director debut award, best actor, best actress, best supporting actor, best photography, best recording, best art, best music, jury screenwriter award, jury feature film award, lifetime achievement award. The Golden Rooster Award for Chinese films is awarded every two years. Due to the increase in the number of films registered for the award, the registration of the award will be carried out in two stages.

(1) Low-and medium-cost feature films (the film production cost is less than 8 million yuan), science and education films, documentaries, opera film films and art films are registered from May 3rd to June every year 10.

(2) The registration date for feature films and children's films is from May 3rd to June 30th each year.

Each production unit can directly apply to the Golden Rooster Award Office of the Chinese Film Association.

Matters needing attention in registration of Golden Rooster Award

(a) please declare institutions and audit units in the spirit of seeking truth from facts, strictly select the best to declare.

(2) The items listed in the film entry form, the producer's name and ranking, the creator's name and ranking should be consistent with the film subtitles. Those who declare the small and medium-cost feature film award must indicate the production cost of the declared film. Those who participate in performance awards (best actor, best actress, best supporting actor and best supporting actress) will be dubbed by the actor himself. (a) feature films and children's films released at home and abroad before June 30th each year, and small and medium-sized feature films, science and education films, documentaries, opera film and art films released at home and abroad before May 30th of 201year, which meet one of the following conditions, can declare the Golden Rooster Award:

1. films shot by mainland (mainland) film production institutions;

2, the mainland (mainland) film production institutions and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan film production institutions;

3 films produced by mainland (mainland) film production institutions in cooperation with foreign film production institutions.

4. Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan films issued in the mainland upon examination and approval by the Film Bureau of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (excluding films produced by Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan film studios in cooperation with foreign film studios).

(2) Those who declare individual awards in the films mentioned in the above clause must have People's Republic of China (PRC) nationality.

(3) Registration for the competition is conducted in two stages. The registration date for digital movies, science and education films, documentaries, opera film and art films is from March 15 to May 15 every year; The registration time for feature films and children's films is from March 15 to June 30 every year.
