Pictures of sculpture works

1, thinker

The Thinker is a sculpture created by French sculptor auguste rodin. Under the guidance of Rodin, the model has several sculptures, the most important of which is bronze and the base is marble. It's in the Paris Museum now. The plaster model made by 1880 is now in the Rodin Art Museum in Paris.

The thinker created a powerful worker. The giant bent down, bent his knees, cupped his chin in his right hand and silently watched the tragedy below. His deep eyes and the gesture of biting his fist with his lips show a feeling of extreme pain.

He longed to sink into "absolute" meditation and tried to contract and bend his strong body into a ball. His muscles are very tense, and he is not only absorbed in thinking, but also immersed in distress.

2. Calais citizens

The bronze statue "Burghers of calais" created by French sculptor auguste rodin from 1884 to 1886 now stands in front of the city hall in Calais, France.

The citizens of Calais are divided into two groups, three in the front and three in the back. They are similar in size and stand together. This set of images is dramatically arranged on a pedestal as low as the ground.

The shapes of these six citizens are independent, but their dynamics are interrelated. Group sculpture is a whole, a whole full of moving images.

Auguste rodin's thorough approach to the truth, in-depth exploration spirit, sharp psychological portrayal and strong personality are shocking.

3. Bronze Age

"Bronze Age" is a bronze sculpture of human body created by French sculptor auguste rodin, which is now in the Luxemburg National Museum. ?

"Bronze Age" truly shaped a well-proportioned and perfect young male body with realistic techniques. The title of "Bronze Age" symbolizes the profound meaning of "the initial awakening of mankind" and "getting rid of ignorance". The overall posture and facial expressions of the characters are very harmonious and natural, and the outline structure of the whole body is not only uniform and perfect, but also reflects accurate anatomical knowledge.

"Bronze Age" is Rodin's famous work, from which we can see Rodin's rigorous, compact and implicit style on modelling technique, as well as his pious and firm belief that he has just entered the art world.

4. the gates of hell

This large sculpture * * * has 186 images, which was created according to Dante's divine comedy "Hell" and lasted for 37 years, and was still being revised until the year before his death. The Gate of Hell represents Rodin's more inner pain and depressed soul.

For the Gate of Hell, Rodin spent a year reading Dante's Divine Comedy, immersed in the illusory world created by Dante's words, and depicted the eight floors of hell described in the book with more than 100 pictures. He used China ink to outline the outline and brown watercolor paint to set off the shadow, reflecting the three-dimensional effect.

Some paintings only directly interpret Dante's original intention, such as Frances Jia, Ugolino, all kinds of sinners in hell, and thinkers representing Dante himself. Some are not simple explanatory illustrations, but critical explanations.

Rodin quickly developed this theme and introduced a series of new images. From these new images, it is not difficult to see the influence of the poet Baudelaire on him. Rodin wanted to create the whole world and show all kinds of human feelings to the fullest.

The Gate of Hell was originally scheduled to be completed in 1884, but Rodin died after 37 years' delay. In the plaster model exhibited at 1900, almost all the round statues were completely deleted.

After Rodin's death, The Gate of Hell was finalized by the first curator of Rodin Museum in Paris. 1926, this masterpiece was cast into a bronze statue and displayed in Rodin Museum in Philadelphia, USA.

Step 5 kiss

Kiss is a marble statue with a height of 190cm, which was created by French sculptor Rodin Yu 1884- 1886 and is now in the Rodin Art Museum in Paris.

The Kiss is based on the love tragedy of Piero Della Francesca and Paul described in Dante's Divine Comedy. Rodin used this theme in a more open way, creating a moment when two lovers who were desperate for secular slander kissed passionately in a tryst.
