Come with me to pick mushrooms in Qinghai in June.
Yaks are lovers of Tibetan areas. Like herders, they dedicated their lives to this grassland. Yaks graze on the grassland, and people in Tibetan areas also receive gifts from the grassland. When Tibetans eat mushrooms, they can feel the simplicity of the land under their feet and be well informed.
More than ten years ago, it was a strange year. This is the season of mushroom growth in Hairiha grassland. It rained that month, and the grass on the grassland almost grew to people's waist, and the whole grassland was ready to move. Sure enough, after rain infiltration, mushrooms came out and grew.
From the tent, the grassland is white, not foggy white, but solid mushrooms cover the grassland. When people ride across the grassland, horses always slip on mushrooms. Mushrooms seem to deliberately block passers-by, making people have to pick up several sacks.
Mushroom growth is the charity of grassland land, but picking mushrooms is a necessary technical activity for people. "Mushroom picking" is different from "mushroom picking". "Picking" means picking and choosing; "Picking up" means picking up some fragmentary materials from the ground. Mushrooms are everywhere on the Herzlo grassland, so locals generally say to pick mushrooms instead of picking them.
Last year, I went to the grassland to pick mushrooms. Mushrooms are elves who grow on grasslands.
There are two kinds of edible fungi on the grassland, white mushroom and yellow mushroom. White mushroom, the surface is white, and the pulp in the umbrella cover is dark red, which will turn black when it grows up. Yellow mushrooms are tender yellow from top to bottom, and their stalks are yellow, which will turn white when they grow up. You can answer both when you meet them.
Maybe one day, everyone will come to the grassland with joy and yearning to find the trace of mushrooms. Mushrooms don't fall all over the grassland like they did ten years ago. If there are many travelers, mushrooms will hide shyly. If you want to find mushrooms, patience is the most important thing. You must have a sincere heart for them. Mushrooms will appear in front of you if they are telepathic with you.
It is best to reach the grassland on the first rainy day from June to early August. Choose a good place to pitch a tent. Be careful that the terrain is not too high, preferably at an altitude of 3200 to 3400 meters. Mushrooms appear on sunny and shady slopes of gentle slopes, with less sunny slopes and more shady slopes. There are no mushrooms in Shishan.
Prepare tools for picking mushrooms, a pair of long rain boots, a bag for mushrooms, a knife and headphones for listening to music before going to bed. It rained all night, and it was dawn that day. At 4 o'clock in the morning, I want to get up, take my belongings and get ready to pick mushrooms. Mushrooms should be picked early, not late. The early risers have mushrooms to eat.
When you step out of the tent, the grassland changes from the warm color yesterday to the cold color, and the blue color at four o'clock in the morning will soak the whole person. Although there are peers in the same trade, their hearts have already drifted in the grassland. The majestic mountains and quiet grasslands in the distance seem to bring you to another world. Watching your partner want to talk, you can't say anything. It is the ordinary traffic that meets the blue grassland, and all the material desires and uneasiness are stuck in your throat.
Walking on the grassland, don't be afraid of loneliness. This may be the first time you feel the distance between heaven and earth.
Pick up mushrooms and walk slowly. Be sure to slow down, and then slow down. At first, don't rush to look down. Look up at the distance first. If your eyes are bright enough, you will see a white dot in the distance, which is a mushroom. If you are sensitive, you will see a mushroom ring. The grass in the mushroom pen is much darker and dark green than the grass in other places around it, with a diameter ranging from ten meters to tens of meters. You are lucky to find the mushroom ring. There are enough mushrooms on the mushroom ring to hold all the bags you bring. As long as you enter this circle, you will feel unprecedented happiness!
If you don't meet a mushroom circle, you must play hide-and-seek with mushrooms. Grass on the grassland can grow to people's knees, and mushrooms grow in the dense grass inside. You must search carefully to find mushrooms. Mushrooms can never grow in cowhide grass. Cowhide grass is short and hard, and mushrooms don't like it.
When you find mushrooms, you should restrain your inner excitement and don't shout. Once a friend searched for a long time before finding a mushroom. Because of his dancing and jumping, he accidentally trampled the mushrooms under his feet. So, when you find the first mushroom, first thank God for this natural gift, and then gently squat down and kiss the mushroom. The dew on the mushroom will touch your lips, and it will be cold from head to toe.
After all this, you can gently pick it from the root of the mushroom, which may still be stained with fresh soil. Then take out the prepared knife, cut it gently and put it in the bag. Don't pull it out of the umbrella cover, because mushrooms are easy to break and the stems of mushrooms will be wasted, and the stems are of high nutritional value. Lift the mushrooms in the bag gently, and pay attention to the integrity of the mushrooms along the way. Don't rub them or let them break, otherwise the appearance will be bad and the nutrition will be easily lost. The smaller the mushroom, the fresher it is. Mushrooms with a diameter of less than five centimeters, commonly known as Tindour Mushrooms, are fresher and more fragrant, and they are not easy to grow bugs.
Mushrooms are naughty children. When you pick up the mushroom and return to the original place in a few minutes, the mushroom will grow in the previous place, especially on rainy days.
There are two kinds of bacteria on the grassland that are easily confused with mushrooms, one is dog urine moss and the other is horse skin foam. Dog urine is dark in color, soft and tall, and dark in color, and generally grows in plateau swamps. On the other hand, mushrooms are thick, strong and have a strong appetite. Intuitively, you can tell which mushrooms are and which are dog urine moss, because mushrooms look cleaner and more lovely!
Horse skin foam, no pole, white all over, like a sponge inside. They will grow bigger and bigger, and they will swell when exposed to the sun. The largest horse skin bubble can reach more than one meter in diameter, and it is full of gas and slag. If your feet accidentally touch it, the disgusting gas and yellow residue inside will spray on your shoes.
People who just start picking mushrooms are prone to make two kinds of mistakes. First, they are impatient and speed up without mushrooms around, which wastes the time of walking. At this time, even if there are mushrooms under your feet, you can't see them. The second is to pick up a mess. You see, besides mushrooms, there are dog urine moss and horse skin bubbles mixed in the bag. If you overcome these problems, you will become a real mushroom picker.
When the sun comes out, you can go back. If you are lucky and it has been raining, you can immerse yourself in the joy of meeting mushrooms all day. It is raining and there is no wind in Mao Mao on the plateau. The mountains in the distance are foggy, and the clouds are at the roots. The world is still, and you can only hear the footsteps of your boots and the growth of mushrooms.
What should I do if I take mushrooms home? The usual practice is to dry mushrooms, which are prone to insects. If you don't take it out for a long time, there will be white worms. Before drying, cut the larger mushrooms with a knife and cut them into small pieces 3 cm square, while the smaller mushrooms are split in two, spread out and exposed to the sun. Never put them in the shade. Turn it over for three or four days every once in a while until the water evaporates and shrinks to the size of a nail before it can be stored.
Some people also wash the mushrooms and put them in the refrigerator for freezing. Generally, the taste of mushrooms will be slightly reduced after freezing. Mushrooms are delicious, and the rice cooked with them is especially delicious in winter and Chinese New Year.
People in Tibetan areas strung mushrooms Tintin together, just like beads of Buddha, hung them on the stove in the tent, roasted them with cow dung fire and smoke, dried them, and then put them away until winter and Chinese New Year.
This is a charity given by the grassland. Mushrooms are more expensive, about 300 Jin dry, but more than 10 Jin of wet mushrooms can produce more than one Jin of dry mushrooms.
In addition to storage methods, we should also talk about a variety of ways to eat mushrooms, such as chicken stewed mushrooms, sliced mushrooms, Chili fried mushrooms, mushroom hot pot and so on. But there is a way to eat mushrooms that you have never eaten, and people who have eaten them are always obsessed with it.
Such mushroom snacks have been circulating in Tibetan areas. Take out the mushrooms with a diameter of about six or seven centimeters that have just been picked, remove their pedicels, leave an umbrella cover and pour them on the stove. With the increase of furnace temperature, the moisture of mushrooms will evaporate into the umbrella cover. First, squeeze the water clean by hand, then put the ghee, then put the highland barley grass noodles, continue to heat and bake for a few minutes, and a ripe mushroom smell will float away and you can eat it. When you pick up mushrooms, you can have a try.
Halika's mushrooms are the best game. Living in a tent on the grassland for one night and picking mushrooms for one day will be an unforgettable experience. This year, I will go to the Herika grassland again to look for grassland elves!
