How to shoot crystals

The surface of a transparent object is very bright, which is easy to cause reflection. Do not directly illuminate the object with light. Put a reflector on the part that looks obviously dark to the naked eye or set it off with white paper next to it, so that the light of the picture can achieve uniform effect and increase the three-dimensional sense of transparent objects. The following are the crystal shooting techniques I have compiled for you. Welcome to consult them.

Four main points of crystal shooting skills

1, the shooting accessories are placed at a 45-degree angle, and the side backlight is used to shoot, which is not easy to appear dull.

2. Transparent objects such as crystals should strive to reflect their transparent characteristics when shooting. The background should be clean, otherwise it will be reflected on the object.

3. The surface of the transparent object is very bright, which is easy to cause reflection, so the light should not directly illuminate the object. Put a reflector on the part that looks obviously dark to the naked eye or set it off with white paper next to it, so that the light of the picture can achieve uniform effect and increase the three-dimensional sense of transparent objects. You can also add a scattering light source at the bottom of the crystal.

Shooting in a sunny place will increase the transparency of the crystal.

Shooting skills of crystal

There is no camera for color professional shooting (such as jade/crystal), but based on some problems often encountered in the shooting process (such as jade/crystal, etc.). ), we can produce some more targeted technical features, and we will choose our own digital camera according to these technical features.

A. pixels. This is one of the most basic technical standards for digital cameras. Our shooting (such as jade/crystal, etc. ) Usually macro shooting is used, so we have high requirements for details. Digital cameras with relatively high pixels can better reflect details, so generally speaking, the pixel requirement is at least 4 million. Of course, no matter how high it is, it doesn't make much sense unless you are going to rush to expand the advertising picture space or something.

B. focal length. For the focal length, the main result that affects the photo is the composition of the picture. The larger the wide-angle end of the focal length, the camera is very suitable for shooting large ornaments, and the composition is much easier. At this point, it is a wise choice for many friends to use SLR, because SLR can be used with large wide-angle lens, which is more convenient to shoot large jade or crystal. If you have requirements for shooting ornaments, it is best to choose a wide-angle camera within 28mm when choosing a digital camera, but it is not recommended to use a wide-angle camera within 24 mm. At this time, the control difficulty of photo distortion has far exceeded your requirements for composition.

C. photosensitive speed (ISO). We should reflect the exquisiteness of (jade/crystal, etc.). ). One of the characteristics is fine surface lubrication (jade/crystal, etc. ). It is absolutely necessary to avoid long-term shutter and high photosensitive speed, which will cause too high noise in the picture, thus losing details and destroying the texture. The ideal photosensitive speed should be in the range of ISO50~ISO200 to reduce noise.

D. photosensitivity. You may not hear this word very often. Show you a picture and you will know what sensitivity is. The meaning is clear, that is, cameras are not as sensitive to light as human eyes. In harmony shooting (such as jade/crystal, etc. ), white jade is particularly obvious. In many cases, the surface of white jade is bas-relief. If the light is strong, the details will shine, and there are no details at all. If the light is weak and the details are obvious, but it often lacks whiteness, this is a dilemma and a common problem of digital cameras, so we'd better try to take a photo with obvious contrast between light and shade when choosing a camera to see if the saturation of the photo is ideal, which is also a very important issue to examine the details captured by the camera.

E. macro ability. This parameter is not too restrictive. Why do you say that? That's because the macro ability of most cameras on the market is still good. Generally, as long as the macro can reach 5CM, it can meet our shooting (such as jade/crystal, etc.). Of course, if you have a very small jade piece, it is a test of macro ability, but the maximum macro of any camera can only be used at the wide-angle end, so there are additional requirements for the shooting environment, such as using a tripod here (unless you guarantee that the hand-held camera will not move), and the macro requirements are not too limited, generally 5 cm to 3 cm can meet our shooting.

F. camera mode. Be sure to buy a digital camera in manual mode. Since you are considering commercial photography, that stupid automatic digital camera is too childish. Including aperture/shutter /M-range, metering, white balance, ISO and exposure compensation, these functions are only available in manual digital cameras, and these are exactly what we need for shooting (such as jade/crystal, etc.). ).

G. white balance. Good white balance will save you a lot of time in post-processing of photos. The importance of this must have been encountered by everyone when shooting white jade/suet jade, and the color is really a very troublesome problem. Different cameras have different abilities to grasp the white balance. Canon digital cameras are recommended here. Canon's ability to grasp the white balance has always been praised by the industry. Of course, Sony is the one with poor white balance recognition. Sony will put special emphasis on the color of portraits and the shooting of scenes to make the photos look more saturated (especially F7 17 and F828, both of which are surprisingly beautiful when shooting landscapes and portraits). But for jade shooting, it distorts the meaning of color itself, so Sony's digital camera is not recommended.

The glittering and translucent jade with aura needs to be well displayed, as the saying goes? It's not far if you don't say anything, okay? No matter how good the content of the article is, it will not be widely circulated without good text modification; Doing business online should not only be genuine, but also pay attention to methods. An accurate product picture may make the buyer shine. Need to prepare a glass (40*30CM), two bricks, a white cloth, a yellow cloth, a tripod and a camera. Let's be clear here: face the sun, set the table, spread a piece of white cloth (use yellow cloth when the light is too strong to increase the contrast, otherwise the details of the jade piece will not be clear because of light transmission), put bricks on both sides, put glass (clean) in the middle to support the camera, put a jade piece on it, focus properly, and take pictures to see the effect. When the effect is best, put a small stone on the white cloth under the glass (it is customary because it will be blocked by jade pieces and shadows), and then you can put the jade piece on the glass with your left hand (directly above the stone) and press the shutter with your right hand, usually at a speed of 3 seconds each.

Summary:

1, this method is suitable for shooting all transparent, hollow and thin babies.

2, before shooting, you need to simply classify the baby and put it on the desktop to improve the shooting speed!

3, the tripod must be stable (rest assured, practice has proved that there is no sliding problem.

4, the lens as far as possible down, is conducive to macro, three-dimensional performance and avoid sunlight reflection.
