So, let's start this series of reports from the memories of the citizens and the excavation of the history of the old railway station.
■ Public narration
Zhang Xian: I grew up near the railway station.
Appearance: Zhang Xian
Age: 53 years old
Zhang Xian, 53, is an ordinary citizen in Shijiazhuang. Zhang Xian's father 19 lived near Shijiazhuang Coking Plant, whose address is near the present Hebei Hotel. In the memory of growing up in Zhang Xian, the imprint of Shijiazhuang Railway Station is everywhere.
When I was a child, Zhang Xi 'an lived in an alley called Li Dexin near the coking plant (now Yong 'an Street). When he came out of the alley, he crossed Yangshu Hutong and Chadao Street and came to the railway station.
Zhang Xian remembers that when she was a child, there was still chaos near the railway station. "It is said that there was a robbery at that time, so parents generally don't let us go to the train station to play." Because grandma and uncle live in Beijing, she goes to Beijing by train with her mother every year. "At that time, there was only one waiting room at the railway station, and there was no square, which was quite backward. After I bought the ticket, I had to cross the overpass to get on the train. What impressed me at that time was that I followed the adults with my bag and squeezed into the train to occupy the seat. At that time, the tickets were not arranged, "said Zhang Xian, who arrived in Beijing by plane for six hours, and the fare was 50 cents in 6 yuan. At that time, the train was full of people, even people were lying under the seats, and everything was dirty.
At that time, Yuhua Road was called Nanma Road, without crossing the bridge. The railway and the highway are separated by railings, and many children are watching the trains coming and going by the railings. Zhang Xian said that now that I think about it, it is also a good memory of my childhood.
1970 Construction of Jiefang Road Undercrossing Bridge (now Zhongshan Road Undercrossing Bridge), Zhang Xian was transferred from the unit to participate in bridge construction for one month. This is the first underpass bridge in Shijiazhuang.
198 1 year later, the waiting room of Shijiazhuang Railway Station was expanded.
After the 1990s, Shijiazhuang Railway Station was expanded, and the waiting room became obviously beautiful. At that time, it happened to catch up with Zhang Xian's house demolition and moved to other places.

Two precious photos
Appearance: Ren Guoxing
Age: 66 years old
Position: Member of China Photographers Association, Honorary Director of Hebei Photographers Association, Member of Photography Art Committee of China Publishers Association.
In Ren Guoxing's home, there are two very precious photos of the railway station.
Ren Guoxing is 66 years old. 1958, I went to work in a printing factory after graduating from junior high school. Because I like painting, I was attracted by the director of the provincial press and publication bureau at that time, and transferred to the Hebei Pictorial (the predecessor of Hebei Pictorial) of the provincial press and publication bureau on 1975. Because of his painting foundation, and he also attended a photography class in 1975, he systematically studied darkroom technology and photography technology, and Ren Guoxing has formed an indissoluble bond with photography since then. Picking up a camera to take pictures is not only his job, but also his greatest hobby.
After working in the provincial press and publication bureau, he specialized in photography and took photos for several editing rooms under the publishing bureau. With his growing fame, units and individuals are constantly looking for him to take pictures, and he has also been hired as a special correspondent by many media.
1983 One day in autumn, he was invited to take some photos of the railway station. After checking the scene, he chose the location on the scaffolding of a hotel under construction in the southwest corner of the railway station. After debugging the machine, he waited with a camera. In order to show the construction achievements of Shijiazhuang at that time, he wanted to wait until a car passed by. Because Shijiazhuang's economy was still very backward at that time, there were few cars, and even buses had only a few lines. After waiting for more than ten minutes, finally, a car appeared in the camera, and Ren Guoxing quickly pressed the shutter.
1987 (I can't remember the exact time) One day, he came to the railway station again, this time to shoot the night scene. He chose a hotel in the northwest corner of the railway station. He greeted the front desk of the hotel with the press card of Hebei Pictorial in his hand. The owner of the hotel was very supportive, which enabled him to successfully photograph the night view of the railway station. Ren Guoxing still remembers that a policeman from a police station took a group photo with him. Later, they became good friends. Unfortunately, the photo of him and this policeman friend can't be found.
Ren Guoxing told reporters that he also took some photos of the railway station at that time, but because of the long time, many photos were lost, and now only these two precious photos are left.
■ Explore this life
The usual scene in front of the railway station in June 10.
On June 10, 13, the reporter came to Shijiazhuang Railway Station.
At that time, this scene was normal for everyone who often went out: the trees in front of the station were full of tourists enjoying the cool; The radio repeatedly plays some riding precautions; There is a long queue at the entrance; Many people meet at the exit. ...
In recent days, a news reported by many media has aroused great concern of the citizens of the provincial capital: according to the planning of the railway department, Shijiazhuang will relocate the existing railway station and railway freight system, and build a national first-class new railway station in the existing marshalling station in Shijiazhuang, which is to build a railway freight station with advanced facilities and complete facilities in the village. Six railway trunk lines of Beijing-Guangzhou line are laid underground in the section from the North Second Ring Road to Huai 'an, that is, within 50 meters east of the existing railway, cut and cover will be used to build six railway trunk lines and an underground railway tunnel with a total length of about 5,000 meters. At that time, the coming and going trains will pass through the city from underground to the new railway station. By 2008, the new railway station is expected to open.
Judging from the source file of this news, it is uncertain what the current railway station will do for the time being, but whether it is used as an auxiliary station of the new passenger station or for other purposes, the role of Shijiazhuang Railway Station as a major hub will no longer exist.
An aunt selling newspapers in Shijiazhuang Railway Station Square heard the news that Shijiazhuang Railway Station was moving. At first, she didn't believe it. Then she said, "If the railway station moves away, our newspaper will not sell well." She told reporters that although selling newspapers is very hard, there is a lot of people flowing here every day. There are always people buying newspapers on the bus, and many foreigners will buy a map. A map costs 70 cents, and she sells 2 yuan. So I sell a lot of newspapers and maps every day, which can make a living.
When the reporter told her that the government would build a big downtown garden here, she said to the reporter, "Great. If more people come here to rest, newspapers should sell better. "

Historical Changes of Shijiazhuang Railway Station
★ The origin of the name Shijiazhuang
To find out the origin of Shijiazhuang Railway Station, we have to start with the origin of the name Shijiazhuang.
Shijiazhuang is the capital of Hebei Province and an important town in the north of China. Like other provincial capitals, bustling crowds, bustling commercial streets and rows of high-rise buildings are intertwined into a symphony of modern cities. However, if it goes back to 100 years ago, it is only a small village with hundreds of people.
Relevant information shows that the name of Shijiazhuang City comes from Shijiazhuang Village. One hundred years ago, Shijiazhuang was a small village in Huolu County (now Luquan City), covering an area of less than half a square kilometer, with only 100 households and more than 600 people. Not far from Shijiazhuang to the west, there is a screen-like mountain range, which is the famous Taihang Mountain. Taihang Mountain, with its steep terrain and more than 800 miles from north to south, has become a natural barrier between Shanxi and the eastern North China Plain.
At the beginning, although Shanxi people guarded the rich coal resources, due to the limitation of ideas and traffic, people just carried coal on their shoulders and sent it to Hebei along this bumpy mountain road. The situation of "passengers and goods can't get in" and "local goods can't get out" continued until the beginning of the 20 th century.
Zhang Zhidong, an important thinker in Hebei province in the late Qing Dynasty, put forward that middle school should be the body and western learning should be used. The Westernization Movement hoped to strengthen the Qing Dynasty by building railways. Therefore, in the process of building the railway, many people in the province supported Zhang Zhidong's idea, especially some officials in Shanxi at that time, who advocated transporting the railway abroad.
★ Shijiazhuang Railway Station was formerly known as Zhentou Station.
1in April, 897, Sheng Xuanhuai, Minister of Railway Supervision of Tianjin Customs, was appointed by the Qing court to build the Lu (Gou Qiao) Han (Kou) Railway. At the same time, Shaanxi Governor Hu Pin planned to build the Zheng Tai Railway. After many surveys and weighing the advantages and disadvantages, it was decided to choose Liulinpu on the south bank of Hutuo River in Zhengding as the intersection of the two railways. Therefore, Shanxi people call Zheng Tai Railway "Liutai Railway". 190 1 year, under the threat of Eight-Nation Alliance, the Qing Dynasty agreed to extend the northern end of Lu Han Railway to Zhengyangmen, and renamed it Han Jing Railway. 1902, Han Jing Railway arrived at the east of Shijiazhuang Village and built a station. At that time, Shijiazhuang village was small and its popularity was low, so it chose the head of the big town seven miles away as the station name. The setting of this station has played a historic and decisive role in the development of Shijiazhuang. In order to reduce expenses, the starting point of the eastern end of Zheng Tai Railway was moved from Liulinpu to Zhentou Station (now Shijiazhuang Station).
After the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895, 1903, the Qing government borrowed money from Belgium to build the Luhan Railway from Lugouqiao to Hankou. 1904 borrowed 25 million francs from Russia's Huaao Dawson Bank in the form of official supervision and commercial office. The French explored and designed it, and appointed Sheng Xuanhuai, then Minister of Railways, to be responsible for the preparation of Zheng Tai Railway, a branch line of Luhan Railway, in order to solve the current situation that Shanxi coal and iron cannot be transported abroad in large quantities.
1904, Zheng Tai Railway officially started construction.
1June 5438+00, 907, Zheng Tai Railway was completed and opened to traffic. With the harsh whistle and the rumble of wheels, coal is continuously transported out of Shanxi and then transported from Shijiazhuang to all parts of the country.
As the product of industrial civilization, railway often produces a huge railway kingdom with its roar. The southward migration of Zhengzhou-Taiyuan Railway is the inducement of Shijiazhuang's urbanization from the countryside, but the real basic factor is the rise and development of modern industry. With the opening of the railway line, some railway-related industries have emerged one after another.
1925, Shijiazhuang merged with several nearby villages, and one word was taken from the names of Shijiazhuang and Xiumen, and it was called Shimen City. This name has been used all the time 1947.
1937165438+10. After the Japanese invaders occupied Taiyuan, Shimen Railway Bureau was established to manage Shijiazhuang-Taiyuan Railway.
From 1938 to 165438+ 10, Shijiazhuang-Taiyuan Railway was changed from narrow gauge to standard gauge, and two double-line gauges were laid according to the standard gauge to form a four-line line with Han Jing in the east and Tongpu and Jingsui in the west, forming a railway network. 1939 10 was completed, and on June 2nd 10, Zheng Tai railway was changed to Shijiazhuang-Taiyuan trunk line.
The Shide Railway was built after Japan invaded North China. 1940 started in June, completed in the middle of the same year 10, and put into production in February of the following year. Shide Railway starts from Shijiazhuang in the west and ends in Dezhou, Shandong Province in the east, with a total length of 180.7 km and 22 stations. The highway starts from Jinpu in the east, reaches Han Jing in the west, crosses the Central Plains of North China, connects with Ji Jiao and Shitai, and connects the traffic of Shanxi, Hebei, Shandong and Henan provinces. It has become an important trunk line for Japanese invaders to plunder materials and mobilize troops in North China.
With the intersection of Jing-Han, Shi-Tai and Shi-De lines in Shijiazhuang, the position of Shijiazhuang as a railway hub has initially taken shape. 1938, passenger trains in Shijiazhuang Station are divided into express trains and ordinary trains, and the seat class is cancelled; 1939, Japanese North China Transportation Company merged Han Jing Station and Shitai Shijiazhuang Station into one station, built 9 lanes in the North Depot, expanded the side line of the locomotive depot to 4 lanes, and built a new South Depot and Depot. 194 1 new east yard, new north barracks, power plant and other special lines.
1947165438+1October 12, China People's Liberation Army liberated Shimen.
1947 65438+On February 26th, Shimen Municipal People's Government issued a notice to rename Shimen as Shijiazhuang.
When the wheel of history entered the end of the 20th century, Shijiazhuang opened a new chapter in urban construction. Today, Han Jing, Shitai Railway and Shide Railway meet here, making Shijiazhuang the most important transportation hub in northern China. 1982, Shijiazhuang-Taiyuan double-track electrified railway was opened to traffic, accounting for one-tenth of the country's coal transportation. Today, Shijiazhuang has become one of the largest marshalling stations for passenger and freight vehicles in China.
1968 65438+1On October 29th, Hebei Province will be moved from Baoding to Shijiazhuang. In March 1978, 1 1, Shijiazhuang was changed to the provincial capital city. From 65438 to 0987, Shijiazhuang was listed as an open city. These are all favorable conditions for the development of Shijiazhuang, but the foundation for Shijiazhuang to become a big city is the construction of Shijiazhuang Railway Station.
Looking back at history, an accidental factor made Shijiazhuang the intersection of railways in those years, which made a city undergo earth-shaking changes at the beginning of last century. A rural area was held up by rumbling wheels, and eventually became an important town in North China that controlled the south gate of Yanjing, grabbed the throat of Shanxi in Hebei, and connected Qilu and the Central Plains.
