First, the color of the prototype is dark brown. In order to make the whole vehicle more suitable for the outdoor atmosphere, the color matching of cement ash was changed, and the original chrome-plated decorative board was replaced by bright blue. In order to cope with different off-road conditions, a set of 1 100 off-road tires of Comax CF 65438 was replaced, and the appearance of the whole vehicle was full of strong outdoor off-road wind.

In addition to the color changes, this modified version of Wei Ran has also modified some outdoor kits, the most conspicuous of which are several large pieces on the roof. First, add a roof rack to the original car. In addition to a full-size off-road spare tire, there is extra room for some big luggage.

Four searchlights are installed in front of the luggage rack, which can cope with the problem of insufficient light when driving in the wild at night. One side of the luggage rack is an indispensable side tent for outdoor activities. If there is a camping demand, it can be opened directly to form a relatively independent space.

The interior is a combination of "black, gray and blue", which echoes the appearance of the whole vehicle. The biggest change in the car is to cancel the third row of seats and customize an outdoor workstation in the trunk. Why is it called an outdoor workstation?

Because the original intention of this car is for some outdoor photographers, in order to meet the conditions that users can work while walking, storage compartments for placing equipment are set at the back, and these storage compartments can be lifted and lowered electrically. The seats in the third row were removed, and a lifting workbench, a borderless screen and two good stereos were specially made in the original position of the third row.

Plus the second row of functional seats that can rotate 180 degrees, in this independent space, it is not a problem to enjoy watching movies or retouching pictures. In the outdoor environment, just close the door and you can work in the car anytime and anywhere.

Although the appearance and interior have been drastically modified, the taste of the three parts of the whole car remains the same. Wei Ran is equipped with a 2.0T third-generation EA888 engine and a seven-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox. The maximum power is 220 HP and the peak torque is 350 N m.

On the day of the test drive, we drove from Shenzhen to Huizhou, the whole journey was about 120 km. Although the overall appearance of Wei Ran is relatively large, it does not affect the reaction speed of the engine. The acceleration response of stepping on the accelerator has always been there, and when you get on the high speed, you can feel that the middle and rear sections are faster. In addition, it is worth mentioning that Wei Ran has two driving modes to choose from: D-block and S-block. D gear can meet the driving control requirements in most road conditions, while S gear can provide more power and make overtaking more confident.

During the whole test drive, both paved and unpaved roads pass by. As for the suspension, Wei Ran adopts the front McPherson+rear multi-link suspension, which can simply filter the slight vibration. However, due to the replacement of AT off-road tires, there will be slight bumps when driving on ordinary paved roads. However, in the bumpy and fine road section, the passability and grip performance will be obviously improved, which is of course necessary.

The off-road configuration is complete, and the auxiliary system is not left behind. This modified version of Wei Ran also has the full intelligent driving assistance system of Travel Assist. L2-assisted driving configurations such as 360 panoramic image, automatic parking and full-speed adaptive cruise also make the driving journey easier.
