Brief Introduction of Media College of Anhui Normal University

School of Journalism and Communication, Anhui Normal University is the youngest college in the school at present, with more than 500 students/kloc-0. It is an experimental area for comprehensive reform of applied majors in schools, bearing the mission of innovating school-running mode and talent training mode. The college has eight majors (directions), including journalism, advertising, broadcasting and hosting, animation, photography, cultural industry management, flight attendants and etiquette, and advertising design, among which journalism and advertising are provincial majors; The college has two master's degree programs in journalism and communication, drama and film and television, and five master's degree programs; The college has 30 professional laboratories, including news studio, non-editing laboratory, post-film studio, animation studio, photography studio, simulated advertising laboratory and simulated aviation laboratory. The College implements the school-running mode of "College+Company", and has established "Media and Cultural Creativity Research Center" and "Anhui Jingzhi Technology and Culture Communication Co., Ltd."; Adopt the teaching mode of "project+integration" and strive to cultivate professionals with innovative spirit and practical ability.

In the past ten years, the college has sent a large number of qualified media art professionals to the country, and many of them have become the backbone of news and other fronts, such as Wu Zhi, former editor-in-chief and insider vice president of Phoenix New Media, former editor-in-chief of Southern Window, Zhang Jingping, chief reporter of Southern Weekend, and Qi Bin, deputy editor-in-chief of China News Service. In cooperation with news media, advertising companies, animation companies and local governments, the College has established a business incubation base and an internship and employment base for college students, and regularly invites well-known academic scholars and industry veterans to hold special lectures to broaden students' horizons. Under the guidance of professional teachers, many students actively participated in the design and production competitions for college students sponsored by the state and provinces and cities, and groups of students won national and provincial awards in various competitions.

The College actively integrates into the regional economic and social development, implements the strategy of strengthening Anhui's culture, actively responds to the rapid development of cultural industries and emerging media and the large demand for talents, firmly grasps the important opportunities such as the construction of independent innovation experimental zone of Hefei-Wuhu-Bengbu, the industrial transfer of Wanjiang city belt, and the construction of Wuhu national animation industry base, integrates internal and external resources, gives full play to the advantages of latecomers, implements misplaced development, and enhances service capabilities. Efforts will be made to build a high-level cultural industry talent training base, a high-level cultural product R&D and production base, a high-level cultural industry research and planning base, a high-level cultural industry elite gathering base, and a high-level cultural industry teacher training base, and strive to build a high-level, distinctive and first-class application-oriented college with certain influence in the country.

Zang Shikai, member of the Standing Committee of Anhui Provincial Party Committee and Minister of Propaganda, gave instructions on the establishment of the School of Journalism and Communication of Anhui Normal University, demanding that the School of Journalism and Communication "be based on high-tech and innovative features, keep a close eye on the development of cultural industries and emerging media, and work closely with local governments and Anhui cultural industry groups".
