The story of the unique traveler in issue 158
Guest of this issue: Tibetan wild donkey
Liu Jian, male, nicknamed Tibetan wild donkey, senior Tibetan friend, extreme sports enthusiast, owner of Tianjin Tibetan Friends Club, and founder of Tibetan Friends Ten Years Public Welfare Organization. In 2020, he won the title of individual model of national unity and progress in Tianjin, the title of tax collector who moved Tianjin on 20 19, the nomination award of "Contemporary Xu Xiake" on 20 15, and the title of moral model in Hexi District of Tianjin on 20 14.
Q 1: Hello, Mr. Liu. I'm very glad to invite an expert in tourism, photography and public welfare to "just leave". Let's Go About is a media matrix focusing on travel and self-driving. Let's Go is a column about travelers with stories. Please introduce yourself to the fans first.
Hello, I'm Liu Jian. I like sports, photography, public welfare and everything in Tibet.
Q2: You have a soft spot for Tibetan areas. When did you first go to Tibetan areas? How many times have you been to Tibetan areas over the years? How many routes did you take? Why do you love Tibetan areas so much?
1998 I entered Tibet for the first time by car. In the 23 years since then, I have been to Tibet more than 20 times, traveled to most corners of Tibet, and took ten routes into Tibet.
At the beginning, I was infatuated with Tibet's landscape and wildlife, and entered Tibet in various forms, vehicles and routes to realize my dream goal. Later, it gradually attracted people who like this magical land, especially the innocent and lovely children here, hoping to do something meaningful for Tibetan compatriots.
Tibetan area is a large area, including Xizang Autonomous Region, Sichuan, Yunnan, Gansu and Qinghai. Tibetan areas have gathered the most beautiful scenery and the best people in China. As an "old donkey" who loves this area so much, can you recommend some places that you think are most worth visiting?
For example, Ganzi, White, Shiqu, Guoluo, Zeku, Naqu Plateau such as Kerry, Dingqing, Shuanghu, Nima, Shannan Ring Road, Himalaya and Gangdise, North China Line, Sichuan-Tibet Middle Line, Keriya Ancient Road, etc. There are countless more. Every time you go deep into Tibet in the past 23 years, you will still find different stunning scenery and surprises.
Q4: You first entered Tibetan areas because you love the beauty of culture there, but now you go to Tibetan areas for different purposes. Can you talk about the process of changing your purpose of entering Tibetan areas?
Like most hikers, my first few trips to Tibet were filled with curiosity and conquest. I enjoyed exquisite photography, the newly discovered hidden despair, different routes to Tibet, and anecdotes about Tibet, which made me full of gains.
Later, with more and more visits to Tibet, I inexplicably felt guilty, especially when I saw the innocent eyes of those children with small mouths on the plateau. I felt I should do something for them.
Q5: How many times have you and your teammates done public welfare activities in Tibetan areas over the years? Where have you been? What specific activities are you mainly engaged in?
Over the years, we have visited more than 50 schools, children's welfare homes, post-earthquake adoption homes, schools for the deaf, schools for blind children and teaching points in pastoral areas, no-man's land and border areas in Tibet, and held various public welfare activities. Footprints are spread all over most counties in Tibetan areas. From the initial stationery and clothing assistance, it has gradually developed into more professional and pragmatic public service projects such as rescue, medical care, science and technology, guidance, planting, training, environmental protection and poverty alleviation.
Up to now, the team that entered Tibet in 10 has been in Tibet for 2 consecutive years, with a journey of 300,000 kilometers. 16 times, more than 3,000 volunteers have helped more than 5,000 teachers and students in poverty-stricken areas in Tibetan areas, and accumulated donations of more than 6 million yuan.
After years of continuous exploration on the road of public welfare, Tibet has actively studied and responded to the concept of "helping the poor first, helping the poor and helping the wise", and gradually changed from a single material donation to a brand-new public welfare model of technical assistance and precise poverty alleviation.
Last year, with years of persistence and professional management, the team of Ten Years in Tibet made fruitful explorations in the following four aspects: In July, Ten Years in Tibet received a huge support of 800,000 yuan from the Central Ministry of Finance "Coloring for Hope-a pilot project for the development of the Changdu Children's Welfare Institute in Tibet". A team of professional teachers, composed of more than 20 volunteers who have been hiding for ten years, gave psychological counseling to 420 children in Changdu Children's Welfare Institute.
Q6: You have also established the Tianjin Tibet Ten-year Public Service Exchange Center. What is the main purpose of setting up this organization?
Tianjin Tibetan ten-year public service exchange center was registered and established on 20 14. It is a municipal public welfare organization registered in Tianjin Civil Affairs Bureau. Her predecessor was the "Tibet Appointment" self-driving club. From1998-2011year, she donated stationery and clothes every time she went to Tibet to help Tibetan children.
20 1 1 On the ninth trip to Tibet, I saw the children taking the exam on the Shigatse Plateau and came up with the idea of "asking for the beautiful scenery of Tibet and giving back to Tibetan children". After two years of planning, in 20 13, the public service album "Ten Years in Tibet" was published. In that year, more than 500,000 yuan was raised for Tibetan children, and then the non-profit organization was renamed "Tibet Decade". Since then, Tibet has started an annual organized caravan trip to Tibet, which lasted for ten years. Our vision is Do not forget your initiative mind, to build a love bridge and communication platform for Tibetan areas and children.
Q7: Public welfare activities are noble acts in themselves. It is even more rare for a Tianjin native who faces the Bohai Sea in the east to go to the western snowy plateau not far from Wan Li to insist on doing public welfare. What drives you to do these things?
Everything stems from the obsession with the magical land in Tibetan areas, from a vision of repaying gratitude, and from the love for Tibetan children. It is definitely not my own strength that non-governmental public welfare organizations can persist for so many years. First of all, it has strong support from various departments of the state. Last year, we undertook the charity project of psychological health consultation for orphans in Changdu Children's Welfare Institute, which was supported by the Ministry of Finance with a huge sum of 800,000 yuan.
With the help of thousands of volunteers and caring people all over the country, it is everyone's unknown selfless dedication that pushes me to stick to this road of public welfare. They are the real unsung heroes of the ten-year charity team in Tibet, and I am just one of them.
Q8: What are the most unforgettable experiences and stories in the process of engaging in public welfare activities in Tibetan areas in recent years? Can you tell us something about them?
Let's start with the story of the five-color Hada King Kong Edge. Friends who have been familiar with Tibet for ten years know that in the charity sale for more than ten years, Jingangbian is the most popular charity souvenir for caring people. Every diamond braid is hand-woven by Tibetan children. This five-color Hada diamond braid, which comes from the snowy plateau and has a faint butter tea flavor, is full of sincere thanks and best wishes from children thousands of miles away to the caring people who funded them.
The ancients said that "the three armed forces can win the handsome, but the ordinary man can't win the ambition." Since its establishment, Tibet Ten Years Public Welfare has paid great attention to protecting children's self-esteem while subsidizing Tibetan areas. I hope to exchange love for love and pass on the life values that labor pays off for children. Maybe their little hands are not beautifully woven, and maybe each child only has the opportunity to knit one, but we try to bring more practicality and happiness to children and donors by letting children get donations with dignity through their own labor. I believe that in the future, they will all become independent, strong and caring people. Now this little diamond braid has become a link between readers and Tibetan children through a platform that has been hidden for ten years.
The cover girl who has been hiding for ten years, big eyes and my gold, is the iconic figure we have been hiding for ten years. In the years after the Yushu earthquake, she has been worried about her. Every time I go to Tibet, I look for her through various channels. It was not until 20 17 and 10 that she was finally found in 14' s trip to Tibet. It is precisely because of this search journey spanning 1 1 year that the ten-year charity team in Tibet found hundreds of Tibetan children in need of help. They may be admitted to middle school without tuition fees, or they may lack blankets and school uniforms because of the cold weather, but they all have clear and bright eyes and pure and lovely smiling faces. These lovely children are the motivation to encourage us to hide for ten years.
Q9: You are also a donkey friend and a photographer. Recently, the national Tibet public welfare photography and painting exhibition was held. During your trip to Tibet for more than 20 years, you also took many wonderful photos. Can you show some of them and tell the story behind them?
From June, 5438 to February, last year, 10 months, despite the unprecedented epidemic situation in COVID-19, the | Looking for a Mirror | national Tibetan photography and painting public welfare tour exhibition was held in Tibet for ten years, which gathered the great love and hard work of 100 Tibetan photographers, artists, extreme sports, environmentalists and scientists from all over the country, and the response was unprecedented.
Haha, I am also a big fan of Zouba.com. My Tibetan wild donkey has been nicknamed by a net name for more than 20 years. Over the years, I have met many Tibetan fans all over the country through traveling, photography and public welfare in Tibetan areas. I always say: Tibetan friends are a family in the world.
