Because after the domestic insurance business resumed in the early 1980s, there were only two main participants in the market: China PICC and Xinjiang Corps Insurance Company. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, China Pacific and China Ping An Insurance were added. However, because the financial and insurance industry was not liberalized at that time, the income of employees in the industry was good. Even during the period of 1996, when PICC was operating separately in China, the number of employees who entered the company was basically zero or negative, with only exports and no imports. I remember that after China Ping An Insurance changed from a regional insurance company to a national insurance company on 1995, it once published two full-page job advertisements in China Insurance News, which was also a sensation in the industry at that time.

At the initial stage, most of the personnel and managers in key positions of China Pacific and China Ping An Insurance came from PICC in China. I work in the planning department of China PICC Gansu Branch. My leaders and colleagues Kuang Jizu and Bi also went to Shanghai Ping 'an and Shenzhen Ping 'an after seeing the job advertisements.

Although four regional insurance companies, Xinhua, Taikang, Hua 'an and Yong 'an, were newly approved on 1996, the market monopoly positions of China PICC, China Life Insurance, China Ping An and China Pacific Insurance after separate operations will not be affected as a whole. China's insurance industry is still not active enough. But the flow of people in the industry began to increase. China Ping An Insurance began to introduce overseas talents from 1995, especially in the life insurance industry, and has a special liking for talents in Taiwan Province Province. 1999 specially launched the "Longteng Plan" to introduce external talents. Since then, China Ping An Insurance has embarked on a healthy road of rapid development in line with international standards. In 2004, China Ping An Insurance was successfully listed in Hong Kong, and one of the important highlights was the international and professional talent team and the management team combining Chinese and Western. Taiping Insurance and Taiping Life Insurance are subsidiaries of China Insurance Holding Company. China entered the domestic insurance market under the new situation of China's entry into WTO and further opening up. 1929 was established in Shanghai, 1956 operated overseas, and 200 1 returned home. Faced with the severe economic situation at that time, China Insurance Holdings listed in Hong Kong through China's first listed insurance company-China Insurance International, raised funds, returned to China under the cordial care of the state and central leaders, and began to cultivate the domestic insurance market. After nearly 10 years of efforts, Taiping Insurance, Taiping Life Insurance, Taiping Pension Insurance and Taiping Asset Management Company have all made remarkable achievements. Three months after I submitted my resume, in June 2002, I received a phone call from Shenzhen Taiping Insurance. The other party politely asked me if I had time to go to Shenzhen for an interview. At the end of June, PICC organized us to go to Hong Kong for training, so I promised to take this opportunity to go to Taiping Insurance. One night in July, we stopped in Shenzhen. On Shennan Avenue, which is breezy in the evening, I saw the neon lights of Taiping Insurance flashing. At this time, a warm current suddenly rose in my heart.

The training time in Hong Kong is short and the content is rich. China Insurance Holding Company accepted and organized our training. China Insurance Holding Company was separated from China People's Insurance Company after 1996 domestic insurance was separated. Therefore, after meeting with the comrades of the training department of China Insurance Holding Company, both sides were very cordial. During the training, we visited China Insurance Holding Company and had a discussion with the middle and senior managers of another subsidiary, Hong Kong Min 'an Insurance Company. Good working environment, busy and orderly work, relaxed and harmonious language communication all attract me tightly. As a result of the exchange, I have a deeper understanding of China Insurance Holding Company and further strengthened my determination to join Taiping Insurance.

After returning to Shenzhen from Hong Kong, I contacted the human resources department of Taiping Insurance. Under their arrangement, I went to the headquarters of Taiping Insurance Co., Ltd. on the 7th floor of Jiangsu Building/KLOC-0, Yitian Road, Futian District. At that time, Jiangsu architecture was not prosperous, but after years of construction, it has become very modern. Shenzhen CBD, municipal government, concert hall, library and Shenzhen Book City are all here.

At that time, I was interviewed in the general manager's office by assistant general manager in charge of human resources department (who died of illness), then general manager of marketing department Luo (planner of the first China Insurance Development and Reform Forum and seminar on modern insurance function, and now deputy general manager of China United Property Insurance Holding Company), assistant general manager of human resources department Cao Xiaorun, Sun Fengshou, (deputy general manager of Taiping Insurance Hebei Branch) and staff. After asking a few questions, let me spend five minutes preparing the topic of the current situation and future development trend of China insurance market. The speech time is 10 minute. I finished my speech at the scheduled time. Perhaps the content of the speech touched the people present, so the interview went smoothly. After that, I met Chen Jinkui, assistant general manager, and Jiang, assistant general manager. Jiang, assistant general manager, used to work in Hong Kong. His Mandarin is not very standard, but he is very humorous. He asked me several questions about business and insurance law very carefully. Finally, Qi Zhiqiang, deputy general manager, met with me and signed the agreement. Later, after joining Taiping Insurance, I also discussed the first reform of Taiping auto insurance system with Deputy General Manager Qi Zhiqiang. The human resources department originally arranged for the then general manager Jiang Yidao to interview me, but Mr. Jiang was in Hong Kong at that time, and after listening to the introduction of the human resources department, he agreed to let me enter Taiping Insurance. By attending this interview, I was deeply impressed by Taiping Insurance's serious and pragmatic attitude towards the interviewer.

In the summer of 2004, at a party, when Sun Fengshou, then deputy general manager of the human resources department, introduced me to Li Xiaoming, then assistant general manager of the general manager's office, he said that I had the strictest interview in Taiping Insurance.

Taiping Insurance attaches great importance to the training and education of employees. With the support of China Insurance Holding Company, since 2004, the Human Resources Department of Taiping Insurance, under the auspices of Assistant General Manager Li Xiaoming and then General Manager Chen Xiaoyan, has organized a group of outstanding domestic personnel to study in the overseas institutions of China Insurance Holding Company, which has played a positive role in the healthy development of Taiping Insurance's domestic business and practiced the humanistic concept of "cultivating talents".

At the beginning of 2005, a senior manager who applied for Taiping Insurance pointed to the cultural wall of the company 17 and said to me, "Do you know what attracted me to your company? Of course, the corporate culture of Taiping Insurance is also advancing with the times, constantly changing and enriching. For example, at that time, the business philosophy of "doing big things should have big profits, doing small things should have small profits, and not doing it without benefits" was gradually abandoned with the development of the times.

"Realize yourself, enjoy life, develop together and give back to society." It is one of the company's business ideas initially advocated by Taiping Insurance when it resumed business. Whenever I log in to the old OA of the company, this sentence jumps into my eyes. Although this idea has been discouraged now, it has had such a great influence on me that I can't forget it so far.

It is said that this business philosophy has been criticized, and the main controversy is "enjoying life". It's about not encouraging employees to work hard and be positive, but advocating everyone to seek happiness. May be due to different understanding, leading to different results!

But I have my own views on this business philosophy. I am interested in "realizing myself, enjoying life, developing together and giving back to society." Our understanding is that the premise of enjoying life is self-realization. After understanding everyone's strengths and specialties, the company will build a platform for employees to realize themselves, plan their future lives, grow and develop with the company, and make contributions to society. The purpose of work is definitely to pursue a better life, and enjoying life is the driving force for people to work better.

I remember when I was working in PICC, I saw an economic program on CCTV 2, which was about the increasing popularity of western enterprises to put tea, milk and coffee in tea rooms. Usually, people seldom communicate with each other at work. Every day at a fixed rest time, everyone can go to the teahouse to exchange ideas with each other, which is more conducive to work. So I combined with the actual work of the company at that time and submitted it to the company I used to work for in the form of rationalization suggestions, but I met with resistance. The biggest obstacle is that some employees have suggested that comrades in grass-roots companies are taking pains to collect insurance premiums, while the staff of the organs are drinking coffee and working, which is a bit greedy for enjoyment. Western corporate culture has been attacked in China. After working in Taiping Insurance, I was overjoyed to see that the company had a teahouse. The computer in the teahouse can search information online, and newspapers can browse at will. The bulletin board is posted with the major activities that the company will carry out in the past two days, which gives people a sense of freshness. The original proposal is easy to realize here. All this reveals the vitality of Haigui Company.

I still remember the first time the company filmed a documentary reflecting the company's corporate culture. In the conference room on17th floor, the photographer asked Jiang Lin of the Ministry of Water Conservation to take a drink, asked me to turn over a magazine, and then took a picture of the blue sky and the green lotus mountain in Shenzhen. I still remember it unforgettable! I think if a company operates to the state of "only drinking Changsha water and eating Wuchang fish, and the Yangtze River crosses the river all the way to look at the sky", the future prospect of this company is undoubtedly very brilliant. Of course, the cruel market competition reality does not allow enterprises to be so romantic, but I think an enterprise should work hard for such a goal.

In addition to this business philosophy, the company also has the business philosophy of "operating with care and serving with integrity"; The business philosophy of "establishing a company with integrity, prospering the company with benefits, managing the company professionally and expanding the company together". The six spirits advocated by Feng Xiaozeng, then chairman of China Insurance Holdings, are deeply affecting the employees of China Insurance Holdings. I think these ideas are catchy, unforgettable and have such far-reaching influence that they naturally have their charm. After more than 80 years of continuous creation, development and accumulation, Taiping Insurance has formed a relatively rich system of values, which is a great spiritual wealth created by Taiping insurers in past dynasties. In 2008, at the initiative of Comrade Shen Nanning, then Chairman of Taiping Insurance, and under the auspices of Deputy General Manager Luo, then General Manager of Strategic Management Department drafted and issued the Outline of Corporate Culture Construction of Taiping Insurance Co., Ltd. from 2008 to 20 10, which was the first document on corporate culture construction since Taiping Insurance resumed its business in China, and played a promoting role in corporate culture construction of Taiping Insurance.

Today, the cultural heritage accumulated by China Insurance and Taiping Insurance for a hundred years should be an important factor to attract me to join Taiping Insurance. Wenhu Xu, director of the insurance department of Fudan University, once talked about "what will be the core competitiveness of insurance enterprises in China in 10 years" at a seminar in 2002, and said two points, one is the technical content of products, and the other is the insurance culture of enterprises. From now on, this statement is correct. I am also an advocate of the above two points. Because I have worked in Shenzhen Taiping Insurance for several years, I have a deep understanding of the above two points, especially the corporate culture of the company. Because products are homogeneous, no culture has the same feeling.
