Calligraphy appreciation of Zhao Yulin, a famous contemporary calligrapher and poet.

Zhao Yulin was born in Fuzhou on July 19 17. Now he is a national first-class artist, a librarian of Fujian Literature and History Research Institute, honorary chairman of Fujian Yixian Art Park, and president of Fujian Couplet Research Association. He has compiled poetry collections such as Hundred Years of Min Poetry, Lingxiangju Poetry and Sion in the Straits.

On September 22nd, 2006, Fuzhou Painting Academy presented an exquisite cultural feast for Rongcheng audience, which brought together more than 200 paintings and calligraphy prints by Zhao Yulin teachers and students. In front of him, this kind old man with silver hair, bright eyes, elegance and elegance seems to have a kind of demeanor-Mr. Zhao Yulin. Zhao Yulin's success today can be attributed to his birth in a scholarly family, his childhood influence from his father, his interest in poetry books and his beautiful prose.

Zhao Yulin, whose real name is Buddha and whose real name is Mingbi, was given by the Buddhist master Zhao Lao in his early years, and he signed his name in the work "Buddha and Mingbi", which also means that Zhao Lao has formed a deep indissoluble bond with Buddhism since then. Over the years, he left many poems about Mo Bao in temples and temples in Fuzhou. "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Great Pillar in the World, Stacking Lakes to Make the World Good for Feng Shui" is a couplet inscribed by Zhao Lao for Linyang Temple in Fuzhou. "The peak sounds high in the west, and there was a county in the pre-Qin period in midsummer, and Jiang Lai was equally divided into days. A genius leaves the sea for Xinjiang ",a couplet drafted and written by Zhao Lao himself, is magnificent, free and easy, with strong lines and clear bones, and has welcomed many tourists to Qishan wanfu temple for leisure and appreciation.

Not only that, Zhao Lao also advocates cultural support for the army and writing about military and civilian affection.

Student: Miss Zhao is my teacher and a good friend of calligraphy lovers in our army. I have known Mr. Zhao for more than 20 years. At that time, I found Miss Zhao, the teacher of * * *, who was very concerned and supportive of our students. Our army often holds some activities to support the army, and sometimes I am in charge. Every time we invite local painter * * * to participate in * * *, as long as Mr. Zhao is invited, he is the first to firmly support and support him, and he will actively participate every time.

Poetry and calligraphy are treasures of China's culture and art, which can be said to come down in one continuous line. Mr. Zhao Yulin is not only a calligrapher, but also an excellent poet.

Zhao Yulin: I believe there is a word "truth" because I am against falsehood, vastness and emptiness. When writing poetry, don't tell lies, big words and empty words. You talk fake, big and empty, and people don't like it. * * *' s works are lifeless. At the same time, I have a characteristic in writing poetry, that is, I don't like being maverick. When writing poetry, you should convey this feeling to others, and readers will be infected. People can't read it, so you might as well not write it.

Zhao Yulin: * * * Now, let's sing the poem Autumn Wind written by Liu Che, the emperor of the Han Dynasty. "The autumn wind rises in Bai Yunfei, the plants and trees fall yellow, and the geese return to the south ... when will you be young?" . How's it going? How do you feel when you hear this? How do you feel? More tragic. Isn't it? Although he is old, he is old, but he still thinks: I can't forget having a beautiful woman. There is also an idea of being confident and conceited about the cause of the whole country. Then let's sing another song "Sauvignon Blanc" by Li Bai. Chang 'an Sauvignon Blanc, Autumn Insects by the Golden Well, Frosty Shade and Sauvignon Blanc Destroying the Soul. "Li Bai is not a poet who writes love poems. He wrote: Sauvignon Blanc is in Chang 'an. Chang 'an is the seat of the emperor, the imperial capital of the Tang Dynasty. The ancient emperor represented the country, and his ambition for the country could not be shown, so he missed Chang 'an, but it could not break out. Melancholy, depression and lingering * * * depend on poetry * *, so it is different from Liu Che's magnificent * * * poetic style.

Therefore, when we recite, we can learn from it. Every poem has its own theme and the expression of the author's thoughts. * * * The poet * * * His emotions, what he wants to express-should be expressed from our chanting.

Zhao Yulin: Reciting is a shortcut to getting started. As long as you can recite poems, you can write poems. Because when we write a poem, we sing it according to our own ideas and feel very comfortable when we sing it. This poem of yours is enough. Being able to express one's feelings conforms to the poet's rules. If you think there is something wrong with it and you feel a pimple, it means there is something wrong with it. In the Tang Dynasty, there was a story about a flag pavilion painting a wall, that is, several famous poets: Wang Zhihuan and Gao Shi ... went to the flag pavilion. The flag pavilion is a pub. In the past, this bar was called Flag Pavilion. Go there for a drink. I saw some geisha singing poems there, and several said that even if you sing, people will sing your poems! As a result, no one sang Wang Zhihuan's poems, and people said that no one sang yours. Wang Zhihuan said that when you look at the most beautiful girl, you will sing my poem. As a result, when the most beautiful girl leaves, you will sing: The Yellow River is far above the white clouds-that's Wang Zhihuan's poem. He was very happy, and sure enough, the most beautiful girl sang his poem, so it was handed down as a story of the flag pavilion, meaning that the poem at that time could be sung.

In the early rural areas of northern Jiangsu, Zhao Yulin devoted himself to poetry creation besides farm work. Poems express feelings, songs express feelings, and life experience and mental trauma blend between the lines. However, these can only be regarded as poems for self-entertainment. Talking about the real beginning of poetry creation, Zhao Lao has a sad story.

Zhao Yulin: My wife Chen Mengyu died of liver cancer in Fuzhou. I can't come back, so because I miss her, I wrote a hundred poems in memory of my dead wife. The name of this collection of poems is "Hundred Poems of Meng". Later, many people saw my poems and said that they were very emotional, rich and touching. Everyone likes reading them, so I have an indissoluble bond with them.

Mr. Zhao Yulin promised to write a poem for his wife as a birthday present before her death, but he never wrote it. Until his wife died, Zhao Yulin was heartbroken at the bad news. The following year, he wrote more than 100 old-fashioned poems in memory of his dead wife, named "Hundreds of Mourning for Meng". They are sincere and touching!

Zhao Yulin's poem "Hundreds of Mourning for Meng" begins with "Friends in Jiuquan will laugh", which is full of deep memory of his wife and apologies for failing to fulfill his promise in time. At the same time, it also opened the prelude for Zhao Yulin to truly become a poet.

Zhao Lao's life is full of legends. In the national civil service examination in the 1940s, he was famous for "adding eight pieces of paper and getting two places". Today, he is well-known in the art world as a "famous contemporary calligrapher and poet".

From 65438 to 0976, Zhao Yulin returned to his hometown and worked as a researcher in Fujian Literature and History Research Institute. During this period, he was full of youthful vitality, traveled to the famous mountains and rivers of the motherland, exerted his expertise and created nearly a thousand poems. His poems inherited the essence of classicism, but they did not stick to the form of the ancients, making the past serve the present. He advocates the connotation of patriotism and distinctive characteristics of the times, and his true feelings endow poetry with strong vitality, which has had a wide and far-reaching influence at home and abroad.

Since then, Zhao Yulin has made friends with poets, learned skills and forged a deep friendship with Zheng Naiguang, a master of Chinese painting. Zheng Naiguang gave him paintings and Zhao Yulin gave him poems.

Zhao Yulin: Zheng Naiguang took the initiative to take a photo and said that Zhao Lao would give you a photo and you would write me a poem. I said, well, I'll write you a poem if you draw it. He gave me a * * * painting called Wangjiangge Ancient Road, and I wrote a poem for him according to this painting. According to the information of Wangjiang Pavilion: Wangjiang Pavilion on Huanglong Mountain, waves after waves rush to Wan Liqing ... * * *

What worries Zhao Yulin, however, is that the excellent ancient cultural poems of China are gradually being ignored by people, and few people study and master them deeply. Thanks to Zhao Yulin's lobbying and efforts, Yixian Art Park was established. The "Yixian Art Garden" headed by him consciously undertakes the work of prospering China literature and art, spreading China culture and supporting cultural descendants. Without funds, he took out his salary and lived a hard life. After years of development, Yixian Art Garden covers many art categories such as poetry, calligraphy, painting and photography. Its members have grown from 32 at first to more than 900 now, and it has become a well-known brand folk art group inside and outside Fujian Province.

Zhao Yulin is always busy, but nothing is busy for him. Seeing that some children in society don't go to school and fewer children go to school has once become the primary contradiction in going to school. Zhao Yulin couldn't sit still any longer. He ran around to raise funds and finally built Yixian School. More than ten years have passed, and school education has trained waves of children. Seeing that they have learned knowledge and played a role in society, Zhao Yulin was deeply moved. He said: developing education is a cause, and doing it well is beneficial to the country and the people. It doesn't matter how tired and bitter they are.

Besides caring about the next generation, Zhao Yulin is also employed by Fujian University for the Aged to teach classical poetry for retired veteran comrades. He has been teaching classical poetry for more than ten years. Today, although Zhao Lao has retired, he is still often invited to give special lectures. On campus, he can also meet his old classmates.

Zhao Yulin: I have been teaching here for several years. Some of them studied calligraphy and poetry for two years. Two years have passed, one class after another. Poetry is taught in four classes and calligraphy in five or six classes.

Although Mr. Zhao Yulin is 90 years old, he has a young heart. Seeing that young people write good poems, Zhao Yulin not only wrote letters to encourage them, but also wrote comments to publicize them. It is estimated that there are more than a thousand students personally instructed by Mr. Zhao Lao in these years, and many students have made small achievements.

Zhao Yulin: I like young friends very much-young people are full of energy. Although I am old, I am not very old. I still have to study hard and make progress every day.

Student in Zhao Yulin: I once wrote a jingle. I don't know if it is a poem. I sent it to him from the countryside, but he was very busy at that time, so he immediately helped me revise my poem and sent it back, which made me very moved.

Under the influence of Zhao Yulin's patriotic spirit of promoting national culture and developing national education, Fujian Yumin Secondary Technical School actively implemented the poverty alleviation project with the aim of "promoting employment and serving the society". Finally, with the joint efforts of Zhao Lao and his granddaughter Gan Wen, it opened its doors to the society.

Zhao Yulin: My granddaughter, Gan Wen, runs a secondary technical school in Yumin, Fujian. Now she runs a poverty alleviation project. In other words, in the poor rural areas of our nearby county, students can't go to school, so you can read books. After reading them, on the one hand, I will introduce you to work, and after you work, you will take part of your salary to pay tuition and make up for your life.

In order to protect cultural heritage, Zhao Lao began to compose poems in recent years. In July 2003, after examination, Mr. Zhao Yulin suffered from gastric cancer. The doctor suggested an operation at once, but Mr. Zhao disagreed, because the Hundred Years of Min Poetry edited by him has not been printed yet.

Zhao Yulin: Operation * * Operation * * is dangerous. I was 88 or 89 years old at that time. If there is something wrong with the operation, no one will continue to compile this book, so I will tell the doctor that I won't have the operation.

Maybe his spirit touched God. In the past three years, he has been racing against time and non-stop, and has achieved one harvest after another. He has published works such as Hundred Years of Min Poetry, Lingxiangju Poetry and Voice of the Straits, which have made great contributions to the inheritance and development of Fujian's cultural heritage.

* * * Interview with Zhao Yulin: I haven't had any surgery, and I don't have any problems. After I came back from my illness, I sorted out all these books, which were later published and distributed all over the country. After all these books were finished, I was still alive. The sole purpose of running schools, art groups, calligraphy and poetry is to preserve our China culture.

* * * Dubbing * * * This year, on the occasion of Mr. Zhao Yulin's 90th birthday, some old friends and students expressed their intention to hold a grand birthday party for him. But Zhao Lao proposed to hold an exhibition of works, and his proposal was approved by everyone.

Zhao Yulin: I joked that when people eat their mouths and then wipe them off, they forget. What does this birthday matter? Wouldn't it be nice to use this money to hold an exhibition? The exhibition has two purposes: one is to push my students to the society; The second is from my own personal point of view. Let me show my work again. Let's see what my current work looks like. ***

This exhibition * * * shows Mr. Zhao Yulin and his 39 students, * * *, with more than 200 printed works, presenting a beautiful cultural feast for Rongcheng audience.

Mr. Zhao Yulin enjoys a high reputation at home and abroad for his artistic achievements, and his works are collected by Tao Yuanming Museum, Liu Shaoqi Memorial Hall and Mao Dun Memorial Hall. In him, he fully embodies the comprehensive skills and spirit of the outstanding literati in ancient China. He said that it is not gratifying that there are successors to the splendid Chinese culture. Therefore, he is determined to prosper China literature and art, spread China culture and support future generations.
