Zhou Wanping, born in 1965, Han nationality, is a freelance photographer and is known as the "Watcher of the Great Wall". A native of Erdaoliang Village, Luanping County, Chengde City, Hebei Province, there are more than 30 families in this small village, almost all of whom are surnamed Zhou. They are neighbors and companions of the Jinshanling Great Wall. When they were young, their left leg and right hand were disabled by accidents.

1986 bought the first camera, Seagull 4B, just to take commemorative photos for tourists. After theoretical study, Zhou Wanping's photos of the Great Wall often appear at the end of famous magazines in China, and gradually his name is inseparable from the Great Wall. More than 500 works won prizes in domestic and international photo competitions, 1000 works were published in various newspapers, and one of them was hung in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Because of his photography collection "My Hometown", he was praised by all walks of life and won the title of "Son of the Great Wall". Zhou Wanping, who grew up at the foot of the Great Wall, praised his hometown with photography and carried forward the history and culture of the motherland with pictures. In his photos, readers can deeply feel the spirit and soul of the Great Wall.

Zhou Wanping is a freelance photographer, a member of China Art Photography Society, a director of Hebei Photographers Association, a member of China Photographers Association, a vice chairman of Chengde Photographers Association and a member of China Great Wall Society.

Zhou Wanping currently has a "Great Wall Observer Studio" on the Jinshanling Great Wall, selling his own picture books and souvenirs.
