What is a lithium target?

The lithium target is mammography. Molybdenum target examination is the simplest, most reliable and non-invasive examination method for diagnosing breast diseases at present, with relatively less pain, simple operation, high resolution and repeated examination.

According to the readings of X-ray films, some precancerous lesions can be found. After radiotherapy and chemotherapy, the focus can be followed up to observe the curative effect.

Development of lithium target

Mammography has a history of nearly a hundred years, and it has gradually become a tool for breast cancer screening. A large number of early breast cancers were found, which reduced the mortality of breast cancer in the investigated population, and its value was affirmed.

Studies have shown that although X-ray mammography can not reduce the incidence of breast cancer, it can diagnose many early breast cancers. For women over the age of 50, the mortality rate of breast cancer begins to decline after 3 to 4 years of mammography, and can drop by 40% after 7 years. With the extension of follow-up time, the mortality rate of women under 50 years old is gradually decreasing.
