Since the late 1990s, Wang Yongjun has been engaged in the systematic observation and shooting of winter waterfowl, vulture, mandarin duck, white-tailed seahawk and other bird themes. He is the author of bird manuscripts in chinese national geography, China Scientific Adventure and Man and Nature, and has been published in chinese national geography, China Photography, Geography of China, China Scientific Adventure and Man.

Since 2004, he has systematically observed and photographed vultures by means of infrared triggering automatic shooting. After working in the field for more than 50 nights, he completed the photo recording of this large nocturnal raptor system, becoming the first person in China to comprehensively record the mysterious night life of this owl. To this end, Tianjin Education Publishing House specially published the book Eagle edited and filmed by him.
