What are the characteristics of Shantou Overseas Chinese Cultural Relics Museum?
Xinqiao Cultural Relics Museum is located in the former site of Shantou Branch of Bank of China at Waima Road 18, with an area of 2,000 square meters and three exhibition halls.
The exhibition hall on the first floor reflects the "specific background" of overseas Chinese: it shows the photos of overseas Chinese "Frant Gwo" and "Shuike" (that is, the goods brought back from overseas by the consignor), and designs a red-headed boat to let visitors experience the feeling of overseas Chinese crossing the ocean in recent years.
The exhibition hall on the second floor embodies the "special operation" and "special link" of overseas Chinese examination and approval: introducing overseas Chinese examination and approval bureaus at home and abroad, and reproducing the original appearance and whole process of the "great success and great story" of Singapore examination and approval bureau.
The exhibition hall on the third floor embodies the "characteristic inheritance" of overseas Chinese batch: it introduces the process of applying for "Overseas Chinese batch file", exhibits overseas Chinese batch with strong local color, and introduces Dongxing Hui Road, the postal route of overseas Chinese batch in Chaoshan during the Japanese puppet regime.
cultural relic collection
The museum has a photo exhibition of overseas Chinese batch culture in Chaoshan, including 200 photos of the historical track of overseas Chinese batch, the lifeline of overseas Chinese and their relatives, the study of overseas Chinese batch culture, the preparation of the overseas Chinese batch cultural relics museum, and some cultural relics such as Yuan Hua overseas Chinese batch and batch delivery equipment.
Shantou Overseas Chinese Approval Museum has collected nearly 30,000 original overseas Chinese approval documents, more than 30,000 overseas Chinese approval documents collected by Shantou citizen Zou Jinsheng, 32 CDs of nearly 40,000 overseas Chinese approval documents recorded by Shantou citizen Mai Bao, and some old photos of Bangkok Overseas Chinese Approval Bureau collected by Mr. Xu Maochun of Thailand. There are also cultural relics such as vegetable baskets, batch bags, tarpaulins and paper umbrellas, as well as documents and books on overseas Chinese batch research. Among them, a father who lived in Thailand 15 1 years ago sent 10 overseas Chinese approval documents to his son in his hometown, becoming one of the oldest overseas Chinese historical relics in China.
