There are three 1 1 files premiered on September 30th. The first choice is to look at my people and my country for two reasons. First, because of the lineup, seven directors and chief producer Huang Jianxin, from the 1950s to the 1980s, each had his own representative works and enjoyed a good reputation. Plus, from the best actor to the most popular cast, looking at the poster is exciting.

Another reason is curiosity. Patriotism is a big theme, which easily resonates, but it is not easy to transform it into an art form, especially movies. If you are not careful, you will stay at the boring preaching level, pull the realm too high, and have no real feelings after reading it.

The seven directors of this film have all had commercial films with good box office results and different styles, so I am curious, how will they combine their own styles with the main theme? What kind of movie will it be? Will it look good?

I am very pleased after reading it.

I remember watching a film exam a few years ago. Mainly how to understand the main melody film works. At that time, the idea was that the main theme, like textbooks and news broadcast, could only put out the facts and truth in an orderly way, and its seriousness was greater than its interest. My people and my country have completely changed my previous ideas, and the main theme can finally be very interesting.

The most successful part of this film lies in its focus. Every story focuses on the little people at the big historical node. Seeing the big from the small makes people feel closer, bringing patriotism back to everyone from a lofty angle and making the ordinary audience feel more involved.

The first story of the film The Night Before starring Guan Hu's director Bo Huang is about the national flag, which is a very important part of many preparatory projects of founding ceremony 1949 the night before. This story is my favorite in the whole movie (although the following Hello Beijing is better in logic and completion).

I saw many people questioning this story on Douban, mainly seeing two controversial points. One is the conflict point, which focuses all contradictions on people and things (Lin Zhiyuan and the electric flag-raiser) and ignores the contradictions between people. The second is that the whole story is inconsistent with historical facts and the logic is far-fetched. In August of that year, it was decided to use the electric flag-raising device, and the preparation time was more than one month, unlike all the work in the movie that was concentrated on the "night before" in a hurry.

But this is what I think is good about this story. This is a commercial tribute film, not a documentary. I really want to know the historical facts. There are a lot of materials to refer to, not just a few minutes' film. It is precisely because of the limited time and the limited things that can be expressed that only one contradiction can be highlighted. The director focused on Lin Zhiyuan and the national flag.

And to talk about logic, the director's logic is how to present the theme in a limited time, but also wonderful and beautiful. What this passage wants to express is nothing more than making use of the important little link of raising the national flag to highlight the excitement and tension on the eve of founding ceremony and everyone's concern and dedication to this matter.

From this perspective, the director is successful. Most viewers don't care about every detail of history. Even if they copy down the historical facts and present them one by one, probably few people can remember them after reading them. Emotions expressed in this more dramatic way will still be remembered until the specific content of the film is forgotten. Isn't that the most important thing in the main melody movie?

The film is just to tell everyone that there is such a story about the national flag, and an engineer named Lin Zhiyuan works silently behind the scenes. Without this story, I'm afraid not many people know who Lin Zhiyuan is.

Lin Zhiyuan, played by Bo Huang, plays a rigid and serious intellectual image in place, completely losing the anger of "bad uncle" and learning Nanjing dialect well. The lens has always maintained a head-up perspective, always moving with the role, and it has a strong sense of presence when watching, as if it were at that time and witnessed everything that happened at that time.

The keynote of the seven stories in the whole film is also laid by this-it is the story around you, and you are witnessing these historical moments.

The second story is the meeting directed by Zhang, and the corresponding historical event is 1964, when China's first atomic bomb exploded successfully. This is the penultimate story in the whole movie. I think it is a bit old-fashioned, and from the perspective of storytelling, it is not easy to cause emotional waves.

Fortunately, the acting skills of both protagonists are good. Zhang Yi wears a mask almost all the time and doesn't talk much. He can only express his feelings through his eyes. Even so, he showed a hero's forbearance behind the scenes. Let the audience understand the meaning of this story.

The third paragraph is directed by Xu zhēng, Leap, who tells the story of two children when 1984 China women's volleyball team won the championship three times in a row. The first half of the story is still very interesting. Focusing on two children who have nothing to do with the women's volleyball team and showing the group images in the alleys of Shanghai is a small story that Xu zhēng is good at shooting.

It's just that the only thing I can't accept is the second half. In order to watch the live broadcast of women's volleyball in winter, you must give up the girl you like and leave a regret for yourself. It seems that in order to do something beneficial to everyone, we must sacrifice ourselves, even if it is a child in winter and winter, even if this sacrifice is unnecessary at all. Dong chased Xiaomei, sent out tapes, and then put on sheets to be superman, which didn't affect his contribution to everyone at all.

The fourth story, Reunification, is about the return of Hong Kong. As the oldest post-90s generation, I am still deeply impressed by the return of Hong Kong in 1997. What I remember most is the scene when the British flag was lowered while watching live TV, and then the national anthem was played to raise the national flag, and the five-star red flag fluttered with the wind. It was the first time that I witnessed the historical moment, so every time I saw the relevant plots in Hong Kong films, I still remembered the excitement of my childhood. The same is true this time. When I saw Kara Wai's policewoman changing her hat badge, I was both excited and gratified.

Xue is the only female director among the seven directors. His works are obviously more delicate than other paragraphs, but they also make the details too fragmented and somewhat scattered. Although the core of the story is time, the director himself failed to integrate a complete story with distinct rhythm in a limited time.

The fifth paragraph "Hello Beijing" is the most complete story, with the best rhythm and the most reasonable plot. The protagonist is the most representative and grounded Beijing "brother", who has shortcomings all over, but has a kind and enthusiastic heart. Uncle ge is completely capable of playing such a role.

The 2008 Beijing Olympic Games is a historical moment close to us. At that time, the media was developed enough to report almost every relevant detail in all directions without dead ends. Therefore, it is not easy to shoot a new story about the Olympics, and the director has not done it.

This story is a bit old-fashioned in both plot and expression. With a ticket for the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games, the two major historical events in 2008-the Olympic Games and the Wenchuan earthquake-are linked together, and the suffering caused by the earthquake is linked with the dedication behind the Olympic Games, but it is not deliberately emphasized. The clouds are light and the wind is light, but it can bring deep resonance, because we have all experienced it. Needless to say, we also understand.

This is precisely Ning Hao's strong point. As a mature commercial film director, he knows how to get along with the audience. There is no need to repeat what is really important. You have them in your heart, and I have them in my heart, so I say with a smile and you listen with a smile. I don't need to tell you the joys and sorrows.

The sixth paragraph "Meteor in the Day" tells the story of Inner Mongolia, but it is also the worst story I think is expressed. The focus and intention of the story are good. Two unlucky disobedient children met an elder who was willing to tolerate and understand them, and witnessed the historical moment of the return of Shenzhou XI spacecraft, and were moved to "turn over a new leaf".

However, the turning point of the story is too far-fetched, almost forcibly linking the two teenagers with the "daytime meteor". There is no reason and no chance. Two young actors and directors, Jison and Tian Zhuangzhuang, performed well, and the scene of three people galloping on horseback was magnificent enough. Among them, there even appeared the classic composition of Chen Kaige's pioneering work "Yellow Land", but the overall effect was not ideal, which was the worst of the seven stories. Probably, we can only say that talents from all walks of life have come out. ...

The last paragraph of "Escort" directed by Muyewen tells the story of a female pilot preparing to fly in the military parade on the 70th anniversary of the victory of 15 in the Anti-Japanese War. From the integrity, rhythm and logic of the story, it is second only to Ning Hao's Hello Beijing, and I have to sigh again that Muyewen is a young director who is struggling to survive.

I have to say that the shortcoming of this passage is probably that the female pilot played by Song Jia is too A, too timid and too camera-grabbing, which distracts the attention of the plot itself. Therefore, we have to say that the director is very good at choosing actors, and the oncoming scene led by Song Jia and Elvis Han really shows the temperament and aura of air force pilots, which arouses people's infinite yearning for air force soldiers.

There are seven works in the whole movie, with different levels, good and bad, so "We, Our Country" is definitely not a great high-scoring work. But its significance lies in narrowing the distance between the main melody film and the audience, so that people of all ages and cultural levels can understand, accept and resonate. Let you feel that patriotism has something to do with everyone, and the motherland is everyone's motherland.

This is easy to say, but looking back at the main theme movies in these years, we will find that it is really entertaining and how difficult it is to make the "main theme" grounded. This is also the result of the rapid development of the film industry in recent years. Movies are the art of the masses. No matter what the theme is, the audience's favorite should be the first. This is a good start for the theme film.

I sincerely hope that there will be more and more movies with this theme, and the better they are made.
