Photography skills of Chinese rose flowers

If you are a girl, you must have a soft spot for those colorful flowers. I like flowers, but most of my family are accompanied by green plants, so whenever I am free on weekends, I will take my camera, find a pleasant cafe and sit around for an afternoon. The following is information about the photography skills of Chinese rose flowers for your reference!

Choose the right lens

The problem you often encounter when taking close-ups of flowers is that you often create trouble for yourself, such as the strong light reflected by flowers, or you block the light shining on flowers, and pollen will stick to the lens. The best way to solve these problems is to change a telephoto macro lens with a focal length of 85-200 mm If you can afford it, a 100 micro lens will help you shoot good flowers, or you can buy a macro ring within your tolerance, which will help you get closer to the subject. Or you can buy a macro filter, which is also very helpful.

Super telephoto can effectively compress the perspective relationship between foreground and background, achieve a special effect and increase the impact of the picture.

Exposure skill

Manual exposure mode is better, and the amount of light can be adjusted. If you set it to automatic mode, I don't know what you will shoot. If you choose aperture priority, then your exposure is not creative. But if you want to get the maximum depth of field with the smallest aperture, you need a slow shutter speed, so you need a tripod, which is really important. A little change in the camera position can have a huge impact on the whole.

The choice of flowers

To be honest, the theme doesn't need expensive flowers. Sunflowers or Chinese rose flowers that we can see everywhere are very good. All you need is to observe them carefully, unless you want to spend a lot of time retouching with Photoshop. Sunflowers are a good choice because their shapes are unparalleled. Roses are good, too. There are many themes to practice on Mother's Day. The spiral structure between them is particularly fascinating.

The magical use of water droplets

When you shoot flowers, water droplets will make your flowers more agile. If you can make good use of the effect of water droplets, your photos will be very colorful.

Control of defocus imaging

To put it bluntly, the contrast between reality and reality is a small depth of field, and the three factors related to depth of field are lens focal length, shooting distance and aperture size. Personally, I think the importance of three aspects is the focal length of the lens. Shooting distance > aperture size. The focal length of the lens in your hand is the premise of your shooting. At the beginning of shooting, after your lens focal length is fixed, the most important thing is to consider the shooting distance. As the shooting distance decreases, the depth of field will definitely decrease. The determination of shooting distance should be considered comprehensively with composition.

Another practical trick to control the background is to use background paper, which can create a clean background relationship. If you are creative enough, you can create more beautiful pictures.

Selection of light

When shooting along the light, the light source should not only restore the color of the flower itself, but also reflect the level and texture of the flower.

The most attractive thing about a flower is that it has translucent petals. Compared with shooting in light, backlight can capture their transparent beauty better.

Use a sunrise or sunset as a background, or use a light box to create a backlight effect. Everyone knows that the best time to shoot portraits is when the sun angle is relatively low in the morning and evening. At this time, the colors are warmer and the light is softer, which is also suitable for flower photography.

Shoot during the day, use a light box if possible, and put flowers in front. Usually, some simple light sources are used to balance the backlight illumination, which can make the picture more harmonious and beautiful. Or, put a reflector in front of the flower to increase the softness of the picture. These are not high-tech.

Artificial light source, when shooting indoors, you can use flash soft box, better yet, use persistent light, so that you can see what you are doing and the picture is more intuitive. You can also use shadows to highlight the outline and internal structure of flowers, such as stamens and pistils, which are very beautiful. If you are close to the light source, you can add some shadows to show the beautiful curve of the flowers.

1. Use the environment to create freshness

I like taking pictures in cafes, which is lazy. Shopkeepers dressed up carefully to make our photos more effective. I took this photo with Canon 50 fixed focus lens. Excellent picture quality and a high sense of 6D can make me feel comfortable even in poor light.

Full flowers themselves are thicker, and the length of branches will be more difficult to compose, so we can skillfully use large aperture to blur the background to avoid the clutter of the picture.

Like the last one, this one has green leaves in the foreground, but this time the wooden table is matched with the bookshelf at the back, and the color of the flowers is in harmony with the overall tone, creating a good atmosphere. When taking this picture, the light is not as ideal as the last one. This photo is far from the window. Canon 6D is between ISO 100-400. We can see that the picture is clean and delicate, and the color reproduction is accurate and saturated. In order to make the picture more transparent and create a fresh feeling, I adjusted the sensitivity to 640 and the aperture to 2.8, and the color of the picture was well controlled.

Using the environment to shoot flowers still life, you may say, flowers are not the protagonist, shouldn't they be photographed? Yes, the integrated environment just adds another layer of language to the screen. This method can avoid monotony and visual fatigue of the picture. Isn't it a good way to shoot flowers?

In the process of shooting, a reasonable combination of light and parameter settings can produce ideal effects, such as this one, which was shot on the terrace at that time and had a layer of transparent glass on it. At that time, it was noon, and the light was strong, so it was necessary to reduce the sensitivity to keep the picture unexposed.

2. Selective ingredients

Flowers have different shapes, so you should carefully observe their posture when shooting. Some flowers grow upward. In order to highlight its growth trajectory, we choose vertical composition to be conservative. If it is like meat or spherical flowers, we choose horizontal composition to highlight the loveliness of the flowers.

The above two pictures are the best illustrations of vertical composition respectively. The roots of flowers are very slender, so we choose vertical composition to create a deep and upward feeling.

These two pictures are horizontal composition, which is more suitable for colorful flowers and makes them more round and full.

3. Tone and subsequent control
