How does lightroom organize photos?
1. Batch renaming of photos
For example, to rename the photos in the folder, just import the directory into lightroom, select the photos and press F2 to set the renaming rules, and the software will automatically rename all the photos you selected.
There are various renaming rules, such as date, order, author, custom text and so on.
For example, I want to rename the photos I traveled a few days ago: Provence 1.jpg, Provence 0.jpg, Provence 0.jpg.
You can set it like this:
Click ok.
It was revised in an instant.
2. Add keywords in batches
Personally, I think this is the most important step, and it is also a process of testing patience, but it is definitely a job that pays lifelong benefits. Lightroom can add several keywords to each photo, and adding comprehensive and accurate keywords will make the classified management and retrieval of photos easy.
My commonly used keywords include the following categories. A photo usually contains at least the following two kinds of information.
Location: home, school, company, Hubei, Europe, Paris, Northern Europe, Phoenix, Guangzhou and so on.
People: you, me, him, international friends, Form 2 youth and so on.
Events: such as dinner, cycling, traveling, playing ball games, etc.
Attributes: such as portrait, landscape, street shooting, still life, macro, delay, high-speed photography, etc.
Special themes: such as black and white, toys, flames, sky, sunrise, bridges, etc.
For example, the following landscape photo:
In fact, lightroom has two kinds of signs besides keywords, five kinds of stars and five kinds of color labels, so I won't explain them here. If you are interested, you can find out for yourself.
3. Batch adjustment of photos
Sometimes a group of photos of continuous shooting or scenes with similar color exposure need to be adjusted, and the best one needs to be saved for last. You can use batch modification to adjust one photo, and other photos use synchronization function to copy these adjustments.
For example, I usually use the following setting to correct the dark angle of the lens+add some saturation and contrast to the photo.
Second, flexible and diverse screening functions.
If you have configured the keywords of photos before, and now you have lightroom filters, I want to say that there are no photos you can't find.
For example, I want to find a picture of Lego mobile phone bracket in my photo. You don't need to open the folder to browse slowly, just open lightroom directly. I can easily find this photo with a filter instead of a favorite.
Settings:
Keywords include Lego
Find all the photos that contain Lego keywords, and find the one you want, regardless of which directory the photos are placed in from beginning to end. Find all the photos containing Lego keywords, find the one you want, and don't care which directory the photos are placed in from beginning to end.
Just using keywords is still a bit weak. Now let's try it with combined search.
I often go out with a gay friend. I suddenly want to see the photos of northern Europe he took for me. What should I do?
Open the filter:
I choose 20 13, and I choose EOS 450D among all 17 cameras.
Filter out the following keyword information
Then I choose Nordic keywords to find the photos I want to see. Although it is complicated to say, it only takes 2 seconds to actually operate. Then I choose Nordic keywords to find the photos I want to see. Although it is complicated to say, it only takes 2 seconds to actually operate.
Third, the magical favorite function
Although the keyword function is very easy to use, it is always impossible to search every time. Let's talk about lightroom's virtual folder-Favorites. Favorites can make several photos in different directories on the user's computer form a new folder in lightroom software, but this folder will not copy these photos selected from different directories into a new folder, but lightroom only records the path of each photo and then displays it in a virtual folder. The more I talk, the more confused I feel. In short, I think the use of favorites makes the classification of photos more accurate and diverse.
For example:
1. My girlfriend and I went to many places to play, and the photos were also one place at a time. So what should I do if I want to sort out all the photos of my girlfriend without destroying the previous classification by location?
Set keywords for all girlfriend photos: wife.
Get photos of all girlfriends through filters and keyword filtering.
Remove parts by marking.
Ctrl +N create favorites
Finish it.
Smart Favorite: Make a rule, and photos that meet this rule will be automatically displayed in this favorite.
Just an example. If I want to take photos of my girlfriend in the future, just add the keyword "wife" and the photos will be automatically saved in this favorite. I must use smart favorites, and the rule is simple: keywords include wife and adult.
As shown below, my smart favorite-sunrise.
Smart favorites support quite a few rules, such as date, camera, GPS, keywords, tags, star rating, etc. And you can add more rules and learn.
