Wanshan Lake Scenic Area is located on the south bank of the Yellow River in the north of Xin 'an County, 30km from Sanmenxia City100, 30 km from Luoyang City and 50 km from Zhengzhou City, the provincial capital. Wanshan Lake is the main body of Xiaolangdi Reservoir of the Yellow River Water Control Project, with a water area of 65,438 0.68 square kilometers, including parts of six towns, namely Yuli, Shijing, Xiwo, Cangtou, Beiye and Caocun, on the south bank of the reservoir area. It is bounded by the Yellow River in the north and faces Jiyuan City, Henan Province and Yuanqu County, Shanxi Province across the river. In the south, it is bordered by Shimiao, Zhengcun and Wutou Township in the county; Mianchi County is adjacent to the west; Jin Meng county is in the east. Wanshan Lake Eco-tourism Zone mainly includes Daimei Mountain Tourism Zone, Jingzishan Tourism Zone, Longtan Canyon Tourism Zone, Qingyaoshan Scenic Zone, Dayuxia Tourism Zone, Shizushan Tourism Zone, Yingzui Mountain Tourism Zone, Hanguguan Tourism Zone, Tugudong Ecological Protection Tourism Zone and Yushan Forest Park. The Yellow River left the most beautiful and elegant section to Xin 'an, making it a popular tourist attraction. The main waterway connecting East (Luoyang) and West (Xi 'an) with Beijing in ancient times is now Gaoxia Pinghu, which is magnificent! Wanshan Lake Scenic Area has the only national geological park in the Central Plains-Daimei Mountain National Geological Park. Longtan Canyon is a deep canyon cut from red seasonal sandstone by two sets of tensile joints traced by flowing water, which belongs to a typical Danxiagou landform and was formed 654.38+0.4 billion years ago.
