Environment of Wanshan Lake Scenic Area

Wanshan Lake Scenic Area is located on the south bank of the Yellow River in the north of Xin 'an County, 30km from Sanmenxia City100, 30 km from Luoyang City and 50 km from Zhengzhou City, the provincial capital. Wanshan Lake is the main body of Xiaolangdi Reservoir of the Yellow River Water Control Project, with a water area of 65,438 0.68 square kilometers, including parts of six towns, namely Yuli, Shijing, Xiwo, Cangtou, Beiye and Caocun, on the south bank of the reservoir area. It is bounded by the Yellow River in the north and faces Jiyuan City, Henan Province and Yuanqu County, Shanxi Province across the river. In the south, it is bordered by Shimiao, Zhengcun and Wutou Township in the county; Mianchi County is adjacent to the west; Jin Meng county is in the east. Wanshan Lake Eco-tourism Zone mainly includes Daimei Mountain Tourism Zone, Jingzishan Tourism Zone, Longtan Canyon Tourism Zone, Qingyaoshan Scenic Zone, Dayuxia Tourism Zone, Shizushan Tourism Zone, Yingzui Mountain Tourism Zone, Hanguguan Tourism Zone, Tugudong Ecological Protection Tourism Zone and Yushan Forest Park. The Yellow River left the most beautiful and elegant section to Xin 'an, making it a popular tourist attraction. The main waterway connecting East (Luoyang) and West (Xi 'an) with Beijing in ancient times is now Gaoxia Pinghu, which is magnificent! The shores of the lake are connected by peaks and hills, surrounded by mountains and water, and the inlets, peninsulas and islands in the middle of the lake are densely covered. The mountains and rivers are integrated, and the form and spirit depend on each other, showing a magnificent and misty rare scenery in the north.

Wanshan Lake Scenic Area has the only national geological park in the Central Plains-Daimei Mountain National Geological Park. Park Canyon is divided into Longtan Gorge, Shuanglong Gorge and Daimei Gorge. Longtan Canyon is a deep canyon cut from red seasonal sandstone by two sets of tensile joints traced by flowing water, which belongs to a typical Danxiagou landform and was formed 654.38+0.4 billion years ago. The rich flavor and unique personality of stone culture, water culture and canyon culture emitted by strange stones, flowing springs, waterfalls and secluded Gorges endow Longtan Canyon with spirituality. Gullies and gullies in the valley are distributed in beads, and the cutting, rotary erosion and abrasion marks of running water in different periods are very clear, and the wave marks formed by giant collapsed rocks are rare at home and abroad. The two cliffs are opposite, if cut, the vertical height 100 meters. Wanshan Lake Scenic Area is located in the hinterland of "Heluo Culture" with rich cultural accumulation. Known by experts as the "Stone Carving Tang Book"-Qiantang Zhizhai Museum, a national key cultural relic protection unit; "Han-Han Valley Pass" is the only pass site in China in the Han Dynasty, and it is famous as "Lock the Keys in China" and "Three Armies" in history. The "Yellow River Stone" in heaven and earth is famous at home and abroad for its unique jewelry, which all embodies the unique cultural charm of Xin 'an and greatly deepens the cultural connotation of tourism development in the lake area.

Wanshan Lake Scenic Area is located in the Central Plains, with good regional infrastructure and convenient traffic conditions such as roads, railways and aviation. In the central plains tourism network, the location conditions are good. The charm of the mother river of the Yellow River and the world-famous Xiaolangdi Reservoir, as well as Midu, the Yellow Emperor of Qingyaoshan, are the love attraction of the whole Chinese nation and promote the whole Wanshan Lake scenic spot.
