Speech on Running for the President of University Reading Exchange Society

My name is You Qifeng, and I come from the Department of Chemistry and Biological Engineering. Today, I am honored to stand on this podium and make a final speech for the election of the presidium of the Social Service Council! In line with the concept of "service, development and improvement", I boarded this podium and ran for the post of vice chairman of the Council of Social Services! I participated in the election for three purposes: first, I am full of love for our college, better serve my classmates, and fulfill the responsibility of "bridge" and "link" in school management; Second, as a member of CSU, we will continue to do our utmost to promote the further development of CSU. Third, with the help of social associations, widely absorb everyone's criticism to improve themselves and improve themselves. There is a cloud in the Book of Changes: Heaven is strong, and gentlemen are constantly striving for self-improvement! I hope to leave a memorable figure for my youth by my own ability and luck.

The reason why I rely on my ability stems from my freshman year's exercise in the organization department of the Social Union. This year in the organization department, I was mainly responsible for the internal attendance and assessment of the association. Among the members of HKCSS, I am probably in contact with the association the most! Therefore, my organization and coordination ability has been well cultivated and displayed here.

The reason why I rely on my ability stems from my two-year training in the Tourism Photography Association. Especially after my sophomore year began to take over the photography branch, I taught new members and led a team to go sightseeing, which improved my organization and coordination ability! In this year's photo contest, Chen Qijie, our former president, gave me the whole activity from planning to execution (including sponsorship and publicity) in order to get more exercise, which greatly improved my ability of organizing and planning. While this photo contest and photo exhibition have been well received by everyone, my organizational planning ability has also been recognized by teachers and classmates!

The reason why I rely on my ability stems from my rich social practice experience this summer. First of all, I participated in the social practice group for college students organized by the Youth League Committee of the College, which increased my knowledge. Secondly, I worked as a salesman in Changhong Packaging Products Co., Ltd. in Suzhou Industrial Park for 40 days. In contact with buyers and managers of many large companies, I gradually mastered many interpersonal skills and enhanced my courage and confidence in facing difficulties alone.

If my strong organizational planning ability is my greatest advantage in this election, then my good interpersonal style is my real trump card! I think as a student cadre, besides being honest and talented, it is also very important to have a kind of tolerance. As the saying goes, "All rivers run into the sea, with great tolerance." Tolerance and forbearance are the necessary tolerance and self-restraint of a student cadre, and also an important part of his own quality. And these are what I have always kept in mind since I entered the college as a student cadre!

Because of this, today, I am full of confidence on this podium to participate in the election for the post of vice-chairman.

So are "deputy" and "assistant". I participated in the election of HKCSS vice chairman this time, not only because I believe I have the quality and talent to be the vice chairman of HKCSS, but also because I have the ability to assist the chairman in his work. As for how to carry out the work, I have the following two ideas:

First, strengthen the relationship between social association and association. Members of HKCSS and chairmen of various associations should know that HKCSS is the headquarters of various associations. In the past two years, HKCSS has undeniably done quite well in various activities, and brand activities such as dance contest and model contest have been well received by teachers and students in the hospital. It also realized the unified management of the association. However, the association's understanding of associations is not deep enough, especially the activities related to organizing exchanges and cooperation between associations are rare. If I can be elected as a member of the Presidium of CSU, I will focus on the communication between CSU and various associations, and hold regular communication meetings between CSU, especially the organization department and various associations. In this way, we can learn from each other and seek communication, cooperation and common development.

Second, learn from each other and make progress together. This year's photo contest sponsored by Sierra and this summer's salesman experience have made me have more contact with many businesses and companies. I am personally interested in the work of foreign relations. Therefore, if elected, I hope to learn from each other, discuss together and make progress together with the members of the International Liaison Department.

Of course, I only mentioned the organization department and the external relations department here, and I didn't ignore other departments. I also have a deep understanding of the Secretariat, Propaganda Department, Literature and Art Department, Network Department and Editorial Department. However, my personal work experience in these departments, when working in the external relations department and the organization department, did not yield much. Nevertheless, I still believe that I can do a good job as the vice chairman of HKCSS. Because in my opinion, everyone is very important in a group. No matter your ability, as long as you have this group in your heart, you will certainly shine for this group. Therefore, if I am lucky enough to be a member of the Bureau of the Social Service Council, I will learn from you.

The above is my assumption of being elected, but if I am not elected, I will not be discouraged. I will continue to lead the Tourism Photography Association to create a broader world!
